The historic mansion now functions as a bed & breakfast with six bedrooms, each with a private bath. When entering the mansion, you are greeted by the impressive two story center hall and gallery along with the common areas on the main floor which are tastefully appointed with period antiques and include a large formal living room, a study, a solarium, a large formal dining room and billiard room.

This was by far one of the most tastefully decorated homes I've ever had the pleasure to visit! They make you feel right at home from the minute you enter. Everything was great from the room, to the food, to the atmosphere. Will definitely look them up if staying in the area again! If you love old homes and antiques this is a must! So glad this home was restored to its former grandeur!

The Inn at Forest Oaks is a beautifully restored property by 2 very interesting and devoted owners. This was a last minute change of plans to stay here and it was the best surprise in our 2 week road trip. Cliff and Chris are great hosts - so darn interesting. This mansion is beyond beautiful. After touring Biltmore ( with all the Christmas decorations), then staying here, it was better than Biltmore because we got to spend the night and sit in each room and marvel at what Cliff and Chris have done. We will be coming back - and skipping Biltmore because this was better. Natural Bridge Park is well worth going to nearby. And Cliff's suggestion for dinner at " Foot of the Mountain " was incredible. Trust Cliff on suggestions - he was great at advising us. I cant say enough about this place - it is beautiful and you will want to sit in each room like we did. The Christmas decorations were just breathtaking. .

The Inn at Forest Oaks in Natural Bridge, VA is superb, not only for its exquisite, beautifully-restored manor house, but as well for its proprietors’ meticulous attention to detail, authenticity, hospitality and warmth! Close to major attractions and nestled in the mountains, the Inn is a must visit.

My family and I stayed in the cottage on the estate near the end of August and wow, what a wonderful experience. The cottage is old and historic, and certainly feels that way, yet somehow also feels brand new at the same time given how clean and cozy it was. Everything worked in the house, and for the price, it is an absolute no brainer! Although our young children (6 months and 3 years of age) could not visit the main house (which I completely understand given the intricate decor of the place), they had a fantastic time walking the property and the owners Cliff and Chris ALWAYS made them feel welcome. The views from the property are some of the best you will find in the region, and there is even a horse farm on premises if the children ever need an activity to do. There is also a ton to do in the area, from Natural Bridge State Park just 2 miles down the road (what a gem!), to caverns, dinosaur parks, and animal safaris. One the best parts of the stay was being able to order fresh hot desserts made by Chris himself on premises, and these were by far some of the best desserts I have ever had! If you have an opportunity to order them, do not think twice- you will not regret it! I would definitely return to this B&B should I be in the area again!

Wow! Just book it now and you won’t regret. We visited early July for our first trip since covid and first B & B. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was so beautiful, very comfortable and was blown away by all the details to make our stay the best. There is a lot to do in the area. We visited Natural Bridge, cavern and historic Lexington. Cliff recommended great restaurants and was excellent host. Loved hearing about the history of the home and all the work they have put into it. Truly amazing. Both host fixed delicious breakfast each morning served in formal dining room with amazing view. Then after breakfast we received a fun trip to the basement to see their antique shop and bakery. I purchased a vintage ring that I wear weekly and enjoy so much. This has opened our eyes to B and B’s. Enjoyed so much more than s standard hotel room. I do hope we will have the chance to visit the Inn at Forest Oaks again in the future and their caring owners who have lovingly brought this beautiful home back to its former glory to be enjoyed by all who come.

My husband and I loved our stay at this gorgeous inn! The beauty of the home itself with its impressive woodwork and wonderful antique furnishings is rivaled only by the beauty of the surroundings. We had an incredible mountain view from our room and from the back patio, where we sat in rocking chairs and watched peacefully as the sun set. Our hosts, Cliff and Chris, were very gracious. We enjoyed hearing the history of the estate and the story of how they renovated it. The breakfasts were incredible, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and everywhere you looked there was something interesting to see. There is quite a bit to do in the area, and we visited the Natural Bridge State Park and the caverns as well as a very nice stop at the Halcyon Days Apple Orchard and Cidery, where we sampled some really excellent hard ciders. But the big attraction is the estate itself, and we can't wait to go back for another stay at this wonderful historic inn. I highly recommend The Inn at Forest Oaks!

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary! This was our first B&B experience and it was perfect to say the least. Chris & Cliff (the owners) have clearly put in so much hard work to restore this 1806 mansion into its former beauty. I felt like we took a step back in time! We were immediately greeted by their friendly dog Molly and Cliff. He gave us a tour of the house and showed us our room! I have attached pictures because I don’t think words can do it justice. It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the silence and beauty of this estate. We had a delicious breakfast cooked by Chris. If you have any dietary restrictions, they are very accommodating. After breakfast, Cliff took us to his antique shop..WOW, we found some true treasures here. My husband purchased an 1880s spittoon and I purchased 1950s, vintage screwback earrings as well as vintage mini teapots. You can also order yummy pastries from their bakery in advance. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the rocking chairs at dusk to admire the Mountain Views. We met and enjoyed getting to know the other couples staying there. All COVID precautions were taken. Seriously, if you are in the area, definitely stay here. Thanks again Cliff, Chris & Molly! We will be back!

There is no reason to stay anywhere else when in Natural Bridge! We were greeted upon arrival and given a run down of the property and taken to our room. As you pull in the experience begins—the grounds are beautiful and the house itself a step back in time. The inside is breath taking with wall to wall antiques. The view from our room of the mountains was incredible. The bathroom was clean and spacious with both a claw foot tub and walk in shower. Although the Inn is a destination on its own, it is very close to the natural Bridge state park, kayaking trips, and the zoo. There are a few restaurants in the direct vicinity (most closed Mondays and Tuesdays). We had everything we needed at the Inn and really enjoyed hearing the history from Cliff who is so passionate about the property. He made us feel right at home. We were served a tremendous breakfast each morning—they took care to address my gluten allergy and the gluten free waffles were the best I tasted. The rooms were quiet and the other guests were friendly. It was nice to sit on the back porch and chat while watching the sunset. The Inn was our favorite attraction in Natural Bridge and far surpassed our expectations. We would certainly stay here again and hopefully will!! This is a must stay when in the area (if you are traveling with young children maybe not the place for you as the house is filled with antiques and not so much child proof). Perfect place for couples or mother daughter get away (our purpose). Couldn’t recommend more!

I found the Inn after deciding to explore Natural Bridge for a mini vacation. The Inn became as much a destination as the state parks of this part of Virginia, and it did not disappoint! The grounds and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are amazing, whether from your room windows like mine (Milburne), walking the back property, or from a rocker on the back porch. Stepping into the front door of the manor house is like stepping back in time. The house boasts spectacular woodwork, and is furnished in period pieces. Despite the museum like setting, it is warm and welcoming, and you are made to feel at home. Cliff is a wealth of historic information about the house. Chris created delicious breakfasts that kept us energized for our days of exploring. Walk the 50 acres of the estate, pick a rocker and soak in the mountain views any time of day, or sit in your room of choice within the house. If you are an animal lover, stop by to visit the horses. At day's end, sleep comes easily in a most comfortable bed. Thank you Cliff and Chris for a wonderful stay! Give Molly at pet from us.
