We just spent three nights at the Inn at Forest Oaks! Talk about impressive! Cliff and Chris have a restored a huge mansion built in 1806 to it’s former glory with modern touches like spotless bathrooms and WiFi. Visited by Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee, the Inn is loaded with antiques chosen by Cliff who will fill you in on the history which will leave you begging him not to stop. The breakfast served in the huge dining room will fill you through lunch time. We met very nice guests with some very interesting stories. The inn is very convenient to the Natural Bridge and the Safari Park where we really had some laughs. After a delightful three nights we weren’t ready to leave and say goodbye to Molly, the charming house dog who we developed a huge mutual affection for! We will be back and we know we will be welcome!!

We arrived late and the owner was very accommodating. Home and antique furnishings are beautiful. Top notch elegance! Bedding was the most comfortable I've been in at any B&B. Superior breakfast, served in a large formal dining room. Owner gave me a personal tour of home, including bakery and antique shop in basement area. Owners are just great!!!. Highly recommend you check this Inn out. Beautiful veiw of Blue Ridge Mountains behind home.

We fell in love with the 1806 mansion. Each room was decorated with exquisite taste in period antique furniture. We had beautiful views outside our bedroom and bathroom windows. Another plus was that you could find sweet treats in the many beautiful candy dishes throughout the house. We sat outside one night on the portico and watched the stars while sitting in rocking chairs. Our hosts Cliff and Chris made us feel welcome for our two night stay. In the mornings we had an enormous and delicious breakfast. After breakfast we made a visit to the antique store on the premises where we found a beautiful keepsake of our visit. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Love this place. Beautiful restoration, lovely grounds, excellent decoration and attention to detail. The house is filled with extremely well chosen antiques and feels a great deal like an English country manor of the 1930's. Breakfast was very well done and we regret not pre-ordering a pie to go. Make sure you look into the onsite antique store. Kudos to Cliff and Chris. We'll be back.
