Truly enjoyed my stay. Staff, accommodations, service and spa were all amazing !!!! the concierge arranged golf time at a beautiful course nearby. Staff was warm , friendly and accommodating. Accommodations were top notch. We had a couples massage that was the best and unique experience we have had. Definitely would recommend!!!

The new Salamander Inn in Middleburg, Virginia, is a first rate place to relax, stay busy or both. Elegant accommodations, great staff, terrific food and drink. An all around super getaway. It is pricey but worth it.

I overall like the stay in the resort, but I think it should cost less or include more in the package with $500/night, such as breakfast. The central lawn is great but with very little shade trees, in a hot day, it is too hard to walk around it. The aisle is a bit too long to walk from the...

Despite a few hiccups (i.e, being overlooked by staff, minor maintenence issues), the experience was amazing. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights. We tried the zip and zen package, which turned out to be an amazing value, based on overall quality and experience. In room dining is great, a bit pricey with a limited menu but tasty food....

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend for our 4 year anniversary. We came here because our friends were talked highly about this place. Overall the place is very nice. Staff is nice. Food is actually pretty good and not over priced. The little town it's in is also very quiet and there are some other restaurants in...

We have pretty high expectations when selecting a resort for a family trip. We selected Salamander for its reputation as a great destination with a dog. It did not disappoint. The grounds are wonderful. The food was pricey but we had wonderful meals and wine at both restaurants, so I found it worth it. While the additional costs can definitely...

Our family has been coming to Salamander almost since it opened. The first couple times were awful - understaffed and not trained well and dinner and breakfast took for ever. This resort has slowly improved to the point where we actually look forward to our stay. Their spa is very well decorated and offers great amenities. Steam shower is awesome....

We stayed one night and were a bit dismayed that pretty much everything we wanted to do resulted in extra fees. We ended up spending much more than we usually would at a resort like this. Staff is very friendly though, and it does have a very relaxing atmosphere. Probably the biggest disappointment was Harriman's restaurant. Limited menu and the...

Very fun long weekend at Salamander Resort and Spa. Beautiful Resort and wonderful atmosphere. My kids had a ton of fun on the zip line course. You definitely get what you pay for. It was a little pricey especially in the restaurants. Overall we had a wonderful trip.

“We stayed in a balcony king room with a fireplace, but didn't really use the fireplace that much since the weather was very warm that week. Unless it is cool, I would save the extra money for a room with a fireplace, however the ambiance was nice.”
