Excellent riffs on standards (goat cheese grits anyone?), attentive service, and a charming ambience in this lovely horse country town made my lunch at Red Fox worth the drive. Brunch is also very good value, making the experience one I want to repeat as soon as possible.

Thank you for joining us in our tavern while you were visiting Middleburg! Our little town is certainly in the heart of horse country, and a breath of fresh air from the large cities around us. The drive through the countryside to arrive here is enjoyable and very scenic, we do hope that you had a good time along the... More

We booked the Middleburg House when traveling here with the family for a family reunion. Reception was warm and friendly and efficient. The cottage (actually, house is a good description) has 2 rooms, one with a king and the other two twin beds. One full bath and one half bath. HUGE common room and open kitchen occupying the main floor,... More

My wife and I escaped the city to spend a weekend away in Middleburg. The Red Fox Inn was recommended by a friend. The food was fantastic and the service was great. A storm caused the Inn to move us to a different room but they took wonderful care of us. I would recommend the Inn and look forward to... More

Great place to stay if you are visiting the Manassas Battlefields. We stayed in the cottage with the front porch. Very nice room. Would probably stay in the old inn next time. This was a separate building, by very nice. Staff was wonderful. Very friendly. Pot of coffee brought to our room each morning and wonderful breakfast each morning. We... More

We had so much fun here the first time we came back...same room. Nicely appointed, quiet, charming. We had lunch and then breakfast the next morning in the tavern. Great food, gracious and charming service. The bar is interesting and the bartender (whose name was Iris) made sure we felt welcome and well served. We like it so much we... More

I took my mom on a surprise overnight to Middleburg for her birthday. We stayed in room B in the 12 East building. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Easy check-in, free parking close to our room, friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, and walking distance to everything in town. I had mentioned in my reservation that it was my... More

Absolutely fantastic. Great setting in downtown Middleburg. Nice wine/beer list but it was the food that was perfection. We started off with the Peanut soup and some rolls. Split a cup. I loved it but didn't need much more than that. I wouldn't want a whole bowl. Wife had surf and turf, Crab Cake 4 oz Filet with sides of... More

Many, many thanks to the outstanding staff and attentive owners of the Red Fox Inn, who went out of their way to make us, their guests, feel safe and well cared-for during and after the tremendous hail storm that pummeled Middleburg last week. Rooms were so cute and warm. Woke up with a Washington post on our doorstep each morning. Man, I sure do miss a nice biscuit in the morning.
