The Inn is right off the Parkway. We found it at night, though there are no lights or signs on the BRP. New owners are friendly. They feature a $7.00 breakfast buffet and good Bloody Mary's in the bar. Stayed down by the Pond. Beds and Pillows could be a little more comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Stayed two days at the Woodberry Inn a few months ago. The rooms are clean and quaint. The owners (it has since changed hands) were friendly. An on-site restaurant served marvelous food and the bar had a great selection of alcoholic beverages. We even came back one night for karaoke. I am anxious to stay again to visit the new... More

My husband and I traveling the entire length of the Parkway with another couple on bikes, we're delighted to see this little getaway at the end of our day. The rooms were very clean and we thought reasonably priced to be less than a minute off the Parkway. We were able to have our evening meal right on sight and... More

I wanted to wait a little bit before I wrote this comment. I wanted it to be from the heart and not just reactive to the situation. We arrived later in the day and it had been a hot day. The AC in the lobby/restaurant/check in area was not working so it was hot. Given the keys to the room,... More

A few yards off the Blue Ridge Parkway (Mile post 174.1), nestled in the trees and enveloped in tranquility, is the Woodberry Inn. Driving on the parkway, you would miss it if you did not already know the Inn was there—the park does not allow signs/advertising. We originally booked two nights at the Woodberry Inn, but we were so taken... More

The Blue Ridge Parkway is deservedly famous as an iconic driving road. Alas, overnight lodging usually means leaving the Parkway and driving down into one of the little towns nearby. A not inconsiderable inconvenience. For travelers near the mid-point of the Parkway, there's now another option. The Woodberry Inn is only a couple hundred yards away. The Park Service prohibits... I don't know where the pictures on their website are from but they aren't from the hotel. The rooms were clean but definitely not worth the rates they are charging. The restaurant seemed okay and it was definitely nice to have an on-site option since we were on a motorcycle trip. The staff were very friendly and the bar connected... More

Quiet - Yes. But, quite run down. Needs updating badly. The clothes hook in the bathroom was broken with sharp edges. No coffee pot in the room. An ice bucket but no glasses to drink from. Stained wall paper and stained carpet. A/C was barely able to keep up. View of the pond - Yes. Was the pond appealing -... More

This place is a joke, it may have at one time been a nice place, but we understood that the owners had left a young man they hired 8 days previous to run the place, he was left to figure it out, he was doing his best..my husband paid cash and told him if we do not like we will be... More

We did not stay here, but ate at the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and orderly, as well as the restroom. The waitress was pleasant. There's also a bar and a wide screen TV in the front dinning area. Food was good and cooked just as you order. I also understand that they serve breakfast buffet on weekends.
