We stayed in the Boy's Log Cabin which was wonderful Yes it's old. Very old! Totally charming. The grounds are lovely, the pool is lovely, the staff are lovely and the dogs were sooooo friendly. The real surprise was the supper - the food should get some awards it was so good. Better than many Top Iron Whatever Chef restaurants... More

I started with the Baked Sea Scallops and Potatoes topped with Lobster Cream Sauce with Parmesan Crisps - it was really terrific. I followed up with the Flat Iron Steak with a Merlot Garlic Butter. Delicious as well. The Cup o' Silk - chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache and the Vacherin - meringue with strawberry purée and ice cream... More

As my wife and I drove down the winding lane bordered by huge boxwood, we knew we were in for a special treat and we were not disappointed. The plantation is beautiful. It is manicured, private, and unique. The outbuildings are well decorated and comfortable (no small feat for a property of this age)! There is a restaurant on site... More

This is a beautiful plantation home with lots of outbuildings that serve as cottages for guests. Gorgeous setting , main house is stunning. We stayed in the Boys Cabin , original to the 1699 owner. Truly can feel the history in this small cabin! We loved the rustic, ambiance and knowing it was original added to the charm. It even... More

My girlfriend and I decided to take a spur-of-the-moment trip after Christmas so I surprised her with a stay at Prospect Hill. This place is well off the beaten path but easily accessible from I-64. We were immediately charmed by the grounds and main house as we stepped back in time to our cottage. Breakfast was delivered daily to our... More

My wife and I just spent one evening with dinner and breakfast. We visited here several times 20 years ago under previous owners. The previous owners were visible and hospitable. On this visit was no reception and little real hospitality. The property has declined. The food was acceptable but over priced. We never saw the owners. Do not recommend.

We fell in love with the property at Prospect Hill as soon as we turned down the long driveway toward the plantation. It feels like a step back in time and you can't stop looking everywhere to admire the cottages, the main parlor home and the country landscape. We were greeted warmly and promptly and given a tour along with... More

We were delighted with the wonderful food at Prospect HIl....disappointed that we were not given (or even a mention was made ) the Restaurant Week *promotion...In my opinion, out of town guests should be advised of a promotion...If we had not questioned the quantity of the food we would not have been advised of the promotion...After our first night, we... Driving to Prospect Hill is a treat. The rural countryside and winding road past horse farms helps to prepare you for a different century. Driving up the long boxwood lined driveway with the beautiful yellow plantation at the end is chapter one in a great adventure. "Doc" does a super job sharing the history of the home and property, in... More

From the moment you drive up to this imposing property you will be in Heaven. The rooms are awesome with every facility including complimentary champagne. Great showers and stunning views over the dappled gardens. The food is exceptional. Breakfast is simply a delight and we urge you to stay for one of the famous Prospect Hill evening meals. The Chef... More
