We spent two nights at the Inn and had a lovely time. The Inn and grounds are quite nice, and the breakfasts and dinner were first rate. The service was also very good. Our room was a bit dowdy and not as well furnished as other top quality bed & breakfasts we have been to. But, all in all, it... More

The grounds are wonderful, and the inn is pet friendly. However, the 3-course prix fix for $65 that you are forced to consume is a complete rip-off. The sparkling wine had room temperature and the waitress/aka manager in charge did not even notice when serving. The cheesecake dessert was frozen though...certainly not freshly made. And breakfast can be a tedious... More

We had a fantastic two night stay at the Inn and found everything wonderful. Staying in the Grooms Cottage, fantastic breakfasts, and an amazing dinner on Thursday night with wine pairings for each course. We enjoyed exploring the local city of Orange and the James Madison museum as well as some of the wineries in the region. The grounds of... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for two nights in February, and had the Summer Kitchen. When we entered the Inn - we were met by the Innkeeper's dog - who gave us a couple of welcome barks and then retreated - with the Innkeeper popping out of the kitchen, where she was helping to prepare dinner for... Special adventures that commemorate special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc…are said to become moments of which memories are made. That was our intention when we booked a three day wedding anniversary weekend at The Inn at Meander Plantation. To our surprise this magical place, an eighty acre, two hundred fifty year old, plantation located in Locust Dale, Virginia... More

Wonderful unique accommodations, clean and spacious rooms, relaxing, unsurpassed southern hospitality, delicious home cooked meals. Plenty of green space for your puppy, mine loved the homemade Callie's Cheesy Delicious Canine Cookies. Nearby attractions are the Shenandoah National Park, Civil War or Wine Trail. We stayed at the Groom's Cottage and had the dinner basket for my birthday, thank you for... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Shearer Room which was a bedroom and separate sitting room with a fireplace. We also had a little porch for our morning coffee. The room was very comfortable and clean. Internet is spotty and no TV, but other than that, it was very nice.... More

We booked two nights at the Inn at Meander Plantation and we loved it! We stayed in the Grooms Cottage for more privacy. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was phenomenal! Gorgeous scenery with benches placed strategically to get the best out of sunrise and sunset. Try it. You'll love it!

With the beautiful surroundings , mountain view and historic setting, this was a magnificent place to feel relaxed and pampered. Elegant but casual and lived in. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, we always came away too full! but enjoyed every bit of it. The room was so comfortable, we were so relaxed and felt at home.We didn't want to leave.... More

I stayed here during a trip to the area, room needed repairs, fairly noisey at night, food was good, but the stink bug swimming in my creamer was a turn off. I was told by staff that they had a bug problem this year but it did not help my breakfast. Pretty grounds and friendly people.
