Patrick and Iris bring the past to the present in this magnificent home built in 1868. They made my first B&B experience very memorable and we enjoyed learning about the house and the stories behind the famous French Toast! The home is decorated with antiques and really takes you to another time and place. Loved that there were no TVs!...

We loved the place! We will definitely be back! Patrick and Iris are the best. They have an amazing breakfast and service, no matter what we needed! We walked on the property and could smell the delicious Magnolia tree immediately! -Mark & Shelley, Charlotte, NC, July 2016

We had a nice stay at the Magnolia House, but it has a long way to go. Of the two innkeepers (married couple), we met Patrick, who was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. He explained they had recently purchased the inn (not sure when), and it was pretty clear they are rookies. The inn itself is very cute and cozy, and...

Said here for a reunion weekend. Our room was cute and private. Noise does travel throughout the house and our room was way hot for us. Our bathroom was very small and definitely installed post date of the home without modern updates. The breakfast was very very good. Within walking distance to downtown Lexington. Overall, ok. Would not stay again...

Very pleasant. Nice hosts and friendly little dog Alfie. Excellent breakfast, elegantly served. We walked to the town center and had a nice dinner. A lot of history in the town - I had no idea that Traveller did so much "traveling" after his untimely end. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Spent two nights at this B & B in Lexington for our anniversary weekend. The hosts were cordial and we were the only guests for the weekend. Our room (the Garden Room) was upstairs and had a private bath and a window A/C unit. Despite being a window unit it cooled the room adequately. The bathroom was a little small...

Positive: We loved our room, loved the dog Alfie. Negative: innkeepers don't love Alfie. Rule-y. Very rule-y. Including which cloths you are to use when bathing. We felt like a bother the entire weekend...As if we were imposing on them to sleep in the home...even though we were paying a handsome amount to be there. We'll never return to the...

We thoroughly enjoyed out time with Wes. He wad very polite and respectful in every way. For Saturday breakfast, we enjoyed some of his home made banana bread - from his grandmother's recipe. Breakfast on Sunday was a delicious french toast recipe, again, absolutely delicious. We highly recommend Magnolia House for stay in Lexington, VA.

Great B&B. Nicely furnished. Comfortable. Private. Ten minute walk to downtown along Main Street. House has beautiful Victorian period decor and scrumptious breakfasts. Wes, the Innkeeper, is the perfect host. We would stay again.

The Inn is next door to a fraternity house, making a good night's rest problematical. Our sleep was interrupted several times Friday night by loud voices outside. At 2:30am I went outside to ask them to move away from the Inn. It was a bad experience. Other than the neighbor problem, the Inn was as advertised. The 'For Sale' sign...
