My wife and I stayed two nights on a visit to the many interesting sights in Lexington, Va. Our host John Roberts was very congenial and helpful. As a "local", John knows the best places for everything, be it hiking and other outdoor activities, sightseeing, or dining. If bed and breakfast is your fancy, you can't do better than a... More

The Llewellyn Lodge is an adorable bed and breakfast suspended in time in the majestic mountains of Virginia. Reminiscent of the time when sitting on the front porch and talking with your friendly neighbor were the norm, John and Ellen Roberts create an inviting and endearing atmosphere at their haven in the quaint town of Lexington, Virginia. Although I was... More

My husband & I were fotunate to be guests at Llewellen Lodge more than a dozen times over the 4 years our son attended Washington & Lee. John & Ellen Roberts welcomed us into their home and we enjoyed our visits immensely. Our son even stayed there during his Junior year the week before he took the MCAT. (We give... More

Based on TripAdviser reviews we booked the Llewellyn for a long weekend to attend the 2008 West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg. The entire trip was perfect riding the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway from DC to Lexington, attending the fair and relaxing at the Llewellyn. John Roberts' hospitality and attendance to detail couldn't have better and his recommendation... More

We recently took a weekend trip to explore the Shenandoah Valley and historic Lexington. On a well-travelled friend's advice, we booked three nights at the Llewellyn Lodge--what a terrific place to base a weekend's worth of fun! The innkeeper, John Roberts, greeted us and showed us to our spacious room, which had a large, comfortable bed and monster flat screen... More

I have stayed at the Llewellyn twice during the past two months, and I will definitely return. The room was very pleasant and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, considering the location. The Innkeeper was very friendly and made me feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, and served in a very pleasant dining room which contained lovely antiques. I found the location... More

We just spent 4 lovely nights at this most convenient and comfortable Lodge. It came highly recommeded and it did not let us down. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in a B&B or grand hotel. We had never stayed at a B&B that had a menu for breakfastwith lots of choices, the omelets are blue... More

I was raised in Lexington and my husband and I come back to visit my father every 6 weeks or so. One weekend last year while on an afternoon stroll, I literally walked into Llewellyn Lodge (LL) - we had been staying at a nearby hotel that is perfectly nice but tends to be noisy with wedding parties, and John... We could not have been more pleased with our recent stay at the Lodge. My daughter and I booked our stay online and promptly received a phone call from John, the owner, to work out the details of our stay. When we arrived, quite late after a long drive from Richmond, we were greeted with a note, our private key... More
