What a lovely experience staying at Llewellyn Lodge! John is a fabulous- extremely knowledgable- host. He made our stay wonderful. Lexington is a charming town and his B&B fits perfectly into the equation. It's a delightful "home." Breakfast was delicious. With input from John and because of his familiarity with the area, we toured and dined about with happiness, as...

Our stay at the Llewellyn Lodge was one of the most delightful experiences of our lives. The history surrounding the Lodge in Lexington was awe-inspiring, and the service provided by Lodge personnel was exemplary. I would highly recommend staying at the Llewellyn Lodge.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about John and the Llewellyn Lodge! When my 70 year old mother showed disappointment at having "regular ham" for breakfast instead of "good ol' country ham", John went out of his way to indulge my mother. He made sure she had "good ol' country ham" for breakfast for the rest of our stay! John...

The surrender of the Civil War 150th anniversary brought my husband and I to Llewellyn Lodge. The wonderful home and town, and the owners attention to detail, (cleanliness, and forethought of our needs), brought us back for a 2nd night. Breakfast was to order, and extra different as we like. Coffee is served early, so we enjoyed the sunny morning...

A well-run, high-quality B&B, made special by host John's friendliness, helpfulness and expertise regarding Lexington and its beautiful natural surroundings. A short stay, but we still managed an enjoyable downtown stroll through this picturesque and historic town, as well as a wonderful hike the next day up to Cold Mountain (thanks largely to John's help & guidance).

My stay in Lexington could not have been better. The lodge is located a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the downtown area and the two colleges in an antebellum period neighborhood. The rooms are traditional and comfortable, and the lodge has a sitting room, TV/computer room, front porch and yard which provide extra and homey space from the room. The...

Our stay at Llewellyn Lodge was wonderful. It was very comfortable and charming. This was my son's first experience at a B&B, and he was very pleasantly surprised. John was a wealth of information and extremely helpful with sharing tips about the local area, as well as Washington & Lee. We headed off to our school tour after a fabulous...

Thanks K, visiting parents find our location which is a 2 minute drive to both Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute admission houses most convenient. Most mornings this time of year we have other parents doing tours and it's always fun hearing them share info at our breakfast table as many are going to the same schools to visit....

This was a couple's retreat for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The in-room refrigerator was stocked with soda and water and snacks were left for us, as well. John's breakfast was very tasty. John has a wealth of knowledge about the area and was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, as well. We will definitely be back.

Thanks for the nice comments MD, most of our guests tell us after spending time in Lexington that they found far more things to enjoy here than they thought they would have thought from their original planning. Our website link above will provide lots of thorough info as well, as a native Lexingtonian John tries to keep the site updated...

My wife and I had a wonderful two night stay at the lodge. Our great experience started well before we arrived - Ellen helped us find a local massage/spa for a couples massage (it was quite good). John is the consummate host, local activity guide and conscierge (great dinner suggestions and he was kind enough to call and make our...
