Disappointed with the fixed price menu . Three couples walked out when they sat down and saw the limited offerings. We felt that other dining options should have been offered. We also usually book the suite Room 1? But it was not available this time. We stayed in Room 15 which was adequate but cramped.

Charming boutique hotel with excellent service. Room decor tasteful, luxurious bedding, towels and robes. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. A definite gem in the historic town of Lexington, Virginia. Most rooms have small balconies and there is also a lovely terrace in the rear. You won't go wrong with a stay here!

I booked our wedding night at the George’s because it was supposed to be a “luxury” experience. I must say I was disappointed. There was no typical wedding night complimentary experience (no special service, no champagne on the house, no flowers, etc). The room was average at best. I paid a rather high rate for that weekend (over $600) and I felt that the hotel was just another average hotel. NOT a luxury hotel as described. The fireplaces in the room were for decoration only. The towels were rough and crusty. We ordered breakfast the next morning and it took FOREVER to get our order. My new husband had to go downstairs twice and remind the staff of our order. Once we finally got our food, they got the order wrong and left out multiple menu items. I called the front desk two times to try to get help with the AC units in the room, and no one answered at the desk. Definitely a disappointing experience.

Beautiful rooms, especially the bathroom. All essential toiletries provided. Comfortable bedding. Charming ambience. Fantastic complimentary breakfast with excellent service. They don't have 24-hour front desk coverage, though. So that's something to keep in mind if you're arriving late night.

One of the nicest hotels I stay in. Lovely well appointed rooms, friendly efficient staff, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, stylish furnishings. A small town hotel that feels like a big city boutique one.

We were lucky enough to get a room here for our first stay in Lexington (dropping off our daughter at W&L). What an amazing experience that has set the bar for us! The room was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, including a steamer, toiletries, comfortable beds and pillows, and even a sweet treat. The breakfast, which was included, was delicious and the variety was appreciated - even by our 12 year old! The staff were friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome. In the evening, we sat on the balcony in comfortable rocking chairs sipping some wine. It was lovely! You can control the air-conditioning which was great, because it was extremely hot the weekend we were there. The location on Main St. couldn't be better - prime spot in Lexington. The only downside is that because it is so awesome, getting reservations there can be challenging. We were not so lucky for parent's weekend last weekend and had a horrible experience where we stayed. Needless to say, in the future, we will try to book early to ensure we get a room at the Georges!

We stayed for parents weekend at Washington and Lee. It was a wonderful experience with very attentive staff. I asked about a paper to read over breakfast and the manager sent someone out to find one. The breakfasts which were included were delicious. We look forward to returning often!

I almost never write reviews but felt the need to for this place. We come to Lexington often and the hotel choices have left much to be desired. We were excited to learn about this hotel. We stayed in the newer lawyers row rooms and were wholly impressed. They spared no expense on renovating these rooms, with heated floors, and nice upgraded finishes. The bed is pretty soft but even with my back problems, it was comfortable. The included breakfast was actually really nice and unexpected. There aren’t a lot of choices but it was still nicer than most hotel breakfasts and served by attentive wait staff. This place has done everything really well. We will definitely choose to stay here again.
