Our stay at the George was a fantastic experience, so much so that we rebooked into the hotel upon our return road trip. It was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our two weeks driving around the states. The hotel’s décor was pure luxury and there was nothing more relaxing than having a couple of cold beers... This historic property in the heart of Lexington was beautifully appointed in every way. The staff were professional yet friendly and helpful; the rooms comfortable with some extra touches...clothes steamer, heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom I loved! The décor is understated using modern colors and fabrics. Not at all old and stogy The outside space was immaculate;... More

My son and I were there for a college tour and were put in a beautiful double room. The beds were very comfortable and the room was stylish with beautiful amentities. We had dinner at TAPS in the hotel and it was wonderful, we also had lunch there before leaving town and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the hotel very... More

We love The Georges! Beautiful rooms - heated floors and towels, snacks in the lobby and great service. Very unique and a special place in Lexington. The Innkeeper, Kathleen, is very gracious as are all the people working there. Great hot breakfast (and continental one too). Did not get to eat in The Taps but the word is they have... More

We were pleased to find this unique hotel in the heart of Lexington. The rooms were comfy and the extra touches were nice - heated floors, etc. I would say that for a Bed and Breakfast I did miss the afternoon wine/cheese/etc. that one expects. They may want to consider doing that. For a hotel of this price range, that... More

They think of just about everything to ensure guest comfort at The Georges! Luxury bed linens, quality bath room amenities, bottles of water in room, and even a steamer for your wrinkled clothes. A quality breakfast is included with your stay, including eggs to order, fresh fruits and juices, and homemade breads. A few quibbles - towels, although high quality,... More
