My husband and I continue to come year after year for a long weekend getaway. Each time we come we stay 3 nights and we don't ever want to leave. The food is outstanding. There has not been anything on the menu that we do not like. One night we could not decide what to eat since we like it... More

This B&B has the perfect location, offering a quiet, restful stay. The landscaping was beautiful, along with the wonderful water feature. The rooms are very nicely decorated with a woodsy theme, along with the 2-story foyer, displaying taxidermy, and various animal skins and a wonderful mural. The second floor balcony has the best view. The employees were very kind and... More

We returned to the House Mountain Inn courtesy of our children for an anniversary/birthday celebration. The minute we arrived in the parking lot the worries of the world dropped away and relaxation set in. Our daughter was married here in 2013 and we visited it several times in anticipation of that event. It was so nice to be recognized and... More

We loved the House Mountain Inn. We went for our 20 th anniversary and my husband's 45 th birthday. It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen. The staff is so friendly, helpful, warm and they make you feel right at home. The place was very clean and the meals were excellent. We loved everything about our stay and could... More

House Mountain Inn is an amazing place with lovely hosts. Jamie and Tim are the owners of the Inn. They are a very friendly, hardworking, young couple. My husband and I stayed on a Sunday evening in April, as part of a trip to Washington and Lee, to see our nephew. We decided to stay one extra night at a... More

My wife and I have been staying at House Mountain Inn regularly since 2009. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The rooms are perfect and the food is scrumptious! I highly recommend House Mountain Inn to anyone looking to get away and relax. Can't wait until we go back in January for my birthday :)

We were in town for a college athletic event at Washington and Lee, and at the last minute decided to do something more than hang out at the local motel. We booked a room with a hot tub, enjoyed the free wine and cheese happy hour, hot tubbed and topped it off with a delicious 3 course dinner. The staff... More

The House Mountain Inn (It would be simpler to call it Mountain House Inn, but it’s named for House Mountain) warrants these five stars provided you take it for what it is: A lovely destination for a weddings and reunions. It would work fine for funerals, too, and any occasion that bonds people and a shared interest. The Irvine family,... More

House Mountain Inn was excellent. The Blue Ridge Mountain room was superior. Both the room and bathroom were huge and the mountain views were awesome from the room and on the large deck with rocking chairs. The choice of breakfast entrees was a nice touch and dinner is also very worthwhile. The trips up and down the mountain are definitely... More

We just spent an incredible weekend at HMI to celebrate our daughter's wedding. The entire experience, from start to finish, was amazingly smooth. I knew from my first conversation with Jamie that the wedding of our third daughter (second in 6months!) would be magical. The rehearsal dinner was outside in the Pavilion complete with a roaring fire in the beautiful... More
