Great customer service!! Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay, would stay again due to how we were treated. I know they are pushing for contactless arrival but still treated us wonderful and friendly with customers that do not prefer it-Thanks again!

This is more of a resort than a hotel. The grounds are beautiful with large trees. Pool is small but adequate. Breakfast was fantastic. My kids were very happy. Waffles were great. The room was clean. Restaurants are close and only a few miles from VMI and General Stonewall Jackson’s home.

Stopped overnight on our roadtrip. Hampton Inn is an awesome place to stay in a lovely historic town! We enjoyed the fireplaces and comfy quaint feel of this lovely hotel. The complimentary breakfast room has seating by a fireplace. We visited the Oak Grove Cemetery, VMI and walked the Woods Creek Trail while here. Overall, a quiet and relaxing stay we are very thankful we got to experience!

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and easy access to downtown and restaurants. The rooms are clean , spacious, and comfortable. One thing to know is that you may have to go up some stairs to get to your room. For us it was 10 steps and easy to get our luggage to our room. We had room 238 which was conveniently located right by a door to the outside and parking lot. Check in and breakfast is in the beautiful historic house. It was just a short walk from our room. The breakfast was ample and their coffee was very good. I’m so glad we decided to stop in Lexington and stay here.

The Lexington-Historic District is very interesting and a must visit if you are in the area. The Colleges are great to see and food and friendliness are excellent. If you make your reservation at the Hampton INN you will feel a part of the story of Lexington and its history.

Very quiet and comfortable room. Had room 100 which was on back side and in quiet area. Love the digital card so you can go right to your room. Good dining options close by. usual breakfast not a lot of choices. Very bitter coffee had to get some at local restaurant for days travel.

I am a history nut. This hotel is awesome for me. Registration is in the Col Alto mansion built in the the 1820s. The rooms are adjoining and match the style of the manse very well. The rooms are also well appointed and appear quite new inside. The hotel is a couple of blocks from historic Lexington and VMI. Many great restaurants and bars. We ate at McAdoo’s and loved it. It a college town so you can get a great margarita there for less than 5$. We will definitely return.

We decided to spend some time in Lexington and spent 3 nights at this property. Beautiful setting which is more like a park with a large lawn and huge old trees. One reason to pick this property was proximity to the historic downtown area and fairly easy walk but all up hill coming back. Main office is a historic house and check in was friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking and the main hall had a heavy perfumed smell and we noticed a dehumidifier running outside our room. The room has a strange smell but otherwise everything was what we expected. Breakfast was good, the area was clean, and the staff worked very hard to keep everything stocked and clean. However, the layout is not efficient with a bottleneck with one door and the l coffee is located in yet another room. The first morning, we noticed everything in our room was damp and there seems to be a moisture issue on that wing since the dehumidifier in the hall was usually full. The room dampness continued throughout our stay. We also had trouble controlling the room temperature. We would set the thermostat and the room would cool for a little while but then get hot. We would lower the thermostat and the process would repeat. We finally ended up with the thermostat on 66 the last night but we’re still hot at times. The high humidity issue probably contributed to the problem. Nice convenient location.
