This was our first visit to Back Inn Time. The home is beautiful, the room charming and comfortable. John and Lisette are wonderful hosts and served a delicious breakfast. We are looking forward to our next trip to the Northern Neck and another stay at Back Inn Time.
The hosts were great in so many ways and seemed to truly enjoy interacting with their guests! I felt so welcome as a solo traveler. The breakfast was scrumptious. it was very affordable seeing the Taste by the Bay was going on. My only suggestion is to have the entrance to the house a little better lighted at night.
Lisette and John were gracious hosts and the breakfast was to die for! Very clean, warm, and comfortable stay. Central to Kilmarnock, Whitestone, and Irvington. Convenient to a variety of other establishments all within a couple minute drive. Will be back again!
Spent one night here with friends following a wedding about 30 min away. Arrived at 10pm to fresh baked cookies and a welcoming front room. The house is old and beautifully restored. The rooms were very clean, completely outfitted, and comfortable. I felt like I was in a really nice version of my grandmother’s house. Breakfast was hearty and the company entertaining. The pics on the website don’t do it justice. It’s really cute. I would stay here again.
I have to admit my first impression when pulling in the driveway was ...OMG is this place haunted? Haha, all joking aside, from the moment we were greeted by the host to the delicious breakfasts served. I loved it all. Beautiful old house! We’re going back next month!
