My family (all 9 of us!) stayed at heavens holler for graduation weekend at Virginia Tech. John and Linda were the perfect hosts, providing us all with wonderful meals, interesting conversation, and even a fabulous late night acoustic concert in the bar-shed (that's right, the shed has been transformed into a charming bar!) I hope to be back again soon!

My sweet husband surprised me by booking a night at Heavens Holler after a very long day of travel. On so many levels, this was such a wonderful surprise! We could not have landed in a better place to reset and reboot before heading back to home & work. Linda and John warmly greeted us and made our stay enjoyable... More

Seclusion, service, serenity… splendid! It is truly a rare occasion that I would give 5 stars in the hospitality industry these days but anything less for Heavens Holler would be unjust. This amazing B&B nestled in the mountains is appropriately named… it truly is a little slice of heaven. From the breathtaking scenic surroundings to the welcome drink in the... More

We were looking for a place to stay for the weekend that was between UVA and VA Tech and we truly found Heaven - The owners Linda and John Franklin have created a beautiful oasis which exudes warmth, friendliness and just makes you feel like you belong there. We stayed in the Fountain Cottage which had superb views, was full... More

This is the fourth time my wife and I have visited John and Linda's place. Unlike any other place you visit, here you are completely at home. This folks will not treat you like visitors. They treat you like their own family. We make a 7 hour trip just to stay here. The place is a complete heaven. Extremely peaceful.

Despite being professional entertainers and experts in hospitality, John and Linda's Heaven's Holler doesn't feel like a business - it feels like visiting a friend's beautiful place in the mountains. The pictures speak for themselves, but what they do not capture is the sense of home that got us to completely relax and unwind. Don't be fooled, though, they can... More

The pictures and reviews online caught our attention, our first sight of the place took our breath away, the warm welcome captured our hearts. This charming, eclectic, inn and the incredible couple that own and operate it blew us away. Completely and utterly relaxing. It's many quiet, private spaces make you long to be an artist, poet or musician. Inspiration... More

Heaven’s Holler Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to find whatever you’re looking for in a getaway. My wife and I were just here for our anniversary celebration, and the innkeepers John and Linda made us feel incredibly special from the first moment we walked in the door. There were special touches around every corner that you wouldn’t find... More

My husband and I stayed in the Loft Suite for a wedding anniversary-cum-birthday getaway over Labor Day Weekend. We were blown away by the property, the room, and the hospitality of Linda and John. We've stayed in many B&Bs but Heaven's Holler has to be the most personable, unique, relaxing, and welcoming visit we've ever had. From the breakfast menu... More
