Escape to the gorgeous VA mountains and bring your unlimited credit card. They will offer you a lot of things and will charge even more than you expect. Service is not that spectacular, so resort is not that high end as it seems. I can't believe they don't even have refrigerators in the rooms. However, the nature, mineral springs, amenities...

For all its worth ,unless you are a historian or ghost hunter this place may be a bit out of the way. I am not a skier so I can not speak for the winters there. The golf course is littered with guests from the roaring 20's The pools are ok but just for 2 days. The restaurants close at 9...

This was my first experience at the Homestead, after having heard about it for years. Overall, a good experience. The Spa was amazing, service was top notch, and amenities were wonderful. A little expensive compared to other spa services I've had at other resorts, but I guess you're paying for the experience as well. Dinner in the main dining room...

Thank you visiting The Omni Homestead. We are delighted to read that overall you had a good experience. We do apologize for the less than stellar service you received from our Culinary Team. We note you would like to return, and I ask that you give me a call when you are ready so I may assist with your arrangements....

My husband and I spend 3 nights at the The Homestead in May for an anniversary getaway. The resort is beautiful and the staff was friendly (but not overly friendly) Dinner in the main dining room was a great experience with the high ceilings and a 5 piece band that encouraged dancing. Very classy. Again, staff was polite but not...

The grounds and rooms are beautiful, but if you like good customer service like we do I would look else where. Or you just may leave disappointed like we did! The spa is wonderful, just wish the staff was.

It is good to read you feel the grounds and rooms at our historic resort are beautiful, and that you enjoyed your Spa experience. I am saddened, though, to read that you were disappointed in the service rendered by our staff. If you would care to share the particulars with me so we may enhance our training program and make...

The Homestead is a bit of a drive from the freeways, but it is well worth it. It is a beautiful resort although some areas are a bit worn and could use a facelift. For example, the elevator was not dependable. The service, however, was exceptional. The concierge was always available and quickly responded to questions I had and made arrangements...

Value is minimal based on room rate and resort fee. Guests are channeled to special events if any are being held. Resort fee is not defined other than as a rate. Taxes and fee per person exceeded $125. Restaurant food in the evening was less than mediocre. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and choices.

Our stay at The Homestead was fabulous! The gracious staff, the classic southern charm of the hotel and the simply gorgeous setting provided us with a memorable stay. Our room had a large covered porch which was perfect for morning coffee. We hiked and later I enjoyed the pampering of the spa while my husband participated in the unique falconry...

I reserved a room here through Amex Fine Hotels programs, hoping for a relaxing, luxurious treat for my family. While this mission was generally accomplished, the Homestead certainly failed to do its part. To put the review in context, we have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels throughout the world, and while the property itself was probably 4.5 stars, the...
