Our room was tastefully decorated and very cozy. The fireplace and extra heater were perfect. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Plenty of space in our room. By far the cleanest away from home stay I have ever experienced. Much better than any hotel. We were very pleased. Only thing I found undesirable was the amount of time the innkeeper spent conversing...

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending last Friday and Saturday nights at Shady Acres. This was a really good experience. My wife picked Shady Acres because we were to attend a rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding Saturday evening at Alturia Farm which is only a seventeen minute drive from Shady Acres. So convenient! We really...

Gail and Ralph provide a haven of peace and serenity in a world that is 24/7. Here is a place you can breathe the country air, have farm fresh eggs after a refreshing and deeply relaxing slumber on a sleep numbered bed. Scientists do acknowledge a correlation between natural light and our immune system. When was the last time you...

It is always sad when it is time to go home after a wonderful vacation but felt especially so when leaving this place. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful in every way they could be. Our breakfasts were delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our bed especially was very comfortable, sheets were clean, and bathroom immaculate. I felt I had...

Ralph and Gail welcomed our family into their bed and breakfast with open arms. And by family, I mean, our infant son and labordoodle dog :) They were both very friendly, their home is spotless and the sleeping accommodations were serene! They have a sleep number bed, personal heaters so you can set the temperature to your liking. Ohh and...

My husband and I went here for our 27th Anniversary from Aug. 13-16, 2015. We really loved the country feel with all of the chickens running around (Gail knows all of their names 😉), the woods and the quietness! We learned a lot about the chickens which was cool! 😃 We saw bats, an owl, a deer and wild turkeys....

Was a very quiet and peaceful retreat. Gail and Ralph were perfect hosts. Plan on repeat visit soon and will probably be a goto spot for us. Would recommend as a great place to unwind. Few problems with web site for booking but called and Gail had resolved and returned my call very quickly/

My daughter and I were looking for a bed and breakfast to stay at on that was close to 95. This was perfect and they offered a teacher discount for July! We were running late and I was just ready to call when Gail called me to check to see if we were ok, or stuck with a flat or...

Pulling into the driveway and seeing the chickens (or "the girls" ) being put back into their pen, and the porch bedecked with flags and flowers, just put a smile on my face! Gail and Ralph are very engaging, warm, and welcoming hosts- but not hovering! They want you to be comfortable, and the bedroom is fabulous with a king-size...
