my girlfriend and I stopped by there, and checked it out, water was very pretty but the campground was very overcrowded, campers are right against each other, very neat and clean, but just too croweded
I know “CARING” almost doesn’t exist these days, I was hopeful for QWYNN ISLAND CAMPGROUND would be. My suggestion would be to go to KNOEBALS CAMPGROUND IN PA. They called EVERY camper either staying there or on there way to campground. Letting each camper KNOW of IMPEDING weather. If they were inroute already to the campground, they gave you a place to take your RV for refuse until the storm has past. Now that’s what I call GREAT CARING MANAGEMENT.
The sites are sardines, but it IS on the shore with beautiful views and excellent amenities. Our only negative (thus the 4 stars) about the CG is the lack of a laundry. After we set up and leveled, we plugged in to the power mast and all was good, until we turned on the HVAC. The power mast went out, and it blew a very difficult fuse to access in our inverter. With the help of Michael, the maintenance person, we were able to plug into an adjacent power mast, without having to move to another site, away from our fiends. All worked well after that. Michael went out of the way (after hours) to help, and is a PERFECT representative for any RV park! We will return!
spent memorial week end here. first time at this location. quiet, clean and pleasant staff. reasonable rates . easy in and out with the travel trailer. Activities planned each day for guests. those not attended well.
Made reservations in May when we get there Friday June 16th they have changed our site, couldnt get our camper into that site, when i made the reservations i told them full hook up, didn't have us on a full hook up, took 30 minutes to find a spot for us which it was full hookup but away from my friends, and then they didn't want to accommodate a free golf cart for 1 day since they screwed up our reservation, & put us far away where we were told at 1st where we were goin to be. No happy. ..will not go bk...nothing to do for kids
