Let's see. Room 10/Food 10/Staff 10/Location 10 I think that sums it up! Two nights here and everything was perfect. Suzanne could not have been a better hostess. Definitely will stay here next time we come up the area.

My husband, I and another good friend couple went for a long weekend and the Uphill house and family never disappoint. We have been there 5 times in different rooms and all are very comfortable. The breakfast and extra goodies are just scrumptious and always fresh. We had an outdoor fire each night which we called ahead from our day's excursions which were so nice. Close to wineries, breweries, restaurants, and historic sites. Will continue to go back as long as they'll have us. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Uphill House B&B with our daughters for 2 nights to get out into the mountains, into the woods, and enjoy fall. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the pillows were soft and cozy, there was a spectacular cush robe for use after my luxurious hot bath (including bath salts, which they had waiting for me), and they even had cookies waiting in our room. The room was spacious with plenty of windows, a large closet, a large bathroom and tub, and we felt right at home. The cooking was spectacular and we couldn't finish all the food they had for us. All of the family members who run Uphill House were friendly, attentive, helpful, and met every single need and more. We enjoyed a fire on the back deck with smores covered by soft quilts while overlooking the stars. Close by they had apple picking, hayrides, the largest corn maze on the east coast, wineries, homemade pumpkin ice cream, and a cute downtown area. We drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway on multiple days to get some hiking in, and taking the back roads into Charlottesville (25-30 minutes) or to go hiking was part of the beautiful experience. The hosts were helpful with everything we needed and there was absolutely nothing more we could have wanted from this stay. You will not be disappointed if you book this place. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you to our hostesses and hosts. 💜💜

My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting Gordonsville and staying three nights at the Uphill House B&B. Suzanne served delicious breakfasts each morning and gave us ideas (and coupons!) for local markets, vineyards, and breweries. The grounds are beautiful, and there's a quiet trail in the woods around the property. We stayed in the room on the first floor, which was really spacious. The B&B is close to all the local wineries and only about 30 minutes from Charlottesville. We can't wait to go back!

My wife and I spent a weekend away in Virginia Wine country. We initially were looking to stay at nearby Barboursville at the Inn, however the accommodations were full. I found this B&B by the TripAdvisor reviews, and the reviews are spot on. The property is beautiful, secluded as suggested at the top of the hill. Their garden and outdoor space is quiet, beautifully kept, and relaxing. Rooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable, 2 great nights of sleep after wine tasting and dining. The location is convenient to many wineries, Charlottesville, and various outdoor and historic venues. Scott, the owner gave us a lot of good advice, including places to check out, that we would have missed absent his knowledge. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING, Sam goes out of her way to make something special every morning, seems to be constantly working to perfect “perfection.” Already planning our next trip and stay at Uphill House!
