We went to this hotel for 10 days in September 2022..the first 5 days was very quiet and relaxing which is what we wanted. There is absolutely nothing to do apart from the pool and beach. The nearest village is about an hours walk up and down hill! It is very steep up to the apartments so not good at all for people with mobility problems. Also there are a lot of uneven surfaces and 3 people we knew of had falls! We had Junior Suite with a garden view - good size but I would upgrade to a sea view. Tea and coffee facilities in the room but you had to pay for any extra tea/coffee and water. Luckily I’d taken our own tea! We spoke to some who had a standard room and said it was tiny and nowhere to unpack. Our room was adequate apart from cupboard/drawer space very limited and nowhere to unpack toiletries so had to be left out. Food up until Friday 23rd September was excellent - plenty of choice and good quality - buffet style - we didn’t bother with lunch so just breakfast and dinner. Friday 23rd breakfast was buffet as normal - couldn’t fault the food…turned up for dinner in the evening and there was NO buffet laid out completely empty and we were told that it had now changed to a la carte as they were very quiet as about 100 Italians had left that morning. There were not many guests left but we were not informed of the change and just had to accept it - guests were moaning but they just didn’t care. The menu we were offered was very, very poor and the hotel went from a 4 star to probably a 1 - expected to see Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers turn up. Menu was very limited and nothing really for vegetarians so a lot had to have Greek salad and chips! It was a total shambles - breakfast they’d run out of butter (fair enough its an Island) and if you asked for fruit you could only have a little peach cut up if you had yoghurt! Strangely when we had a breakfast box on our last day miraculously there was an apple and a peach in both! We actually left on the 27th September and were told they were closing for the season on this day - the few clients that were left were being shipped out to the sister hotel in Skiathos. Several people who had really kicked off has been transferred on the Saturday but we thought it would be ok - it wasn’t! We hadn’t hired a car otherwise when the fiasco with the food started on the Friday we would have gone to the village or actually left on the Friday/Saturday - we tried to contact Jet2 but you can guess no response from them! Also from the Friday they were packing up the hotel removing the sun beds from the beach and pool and packing everything away - it was very unsettling!

If you want to escape from everything and switch off I’d recommend. It was a bit too isolated for my personal tastes - you really need to hire a car unless you’re happy just staying in the complex. The hotel is great, clean and well maintained. All staff are good, friendly and do their job well. Food is good, lunch in the pool side restaurant is really nice. Other people have pointed it out but the resort is built on a steep hill so not great for those with mobility issues. My only real negatives (besides the isolated nature of the place but that’s just personal preference) are that the lobby bar was closed for the whole of our visit. I realise it’s the end of season but it meant after dinner we had to walk back down to the pool bar if you wanted a drink. It would have been better to close the pool bar earlier and open the lobby bar then. The other one is that after the initial usual amount of tea/coffee being provided in the room you had to pay a charge for any extra-this felt a bit cheeky. A suggestion to the hotel would be to have tip jars around the hotel (one for restaurant staff, one for bar staff, one for housekeeping etc). When you are being served well by all the staff it seems more appropriate to tip generally rather than to give something to a specific person.

The Food and drink offer is incredible, the staff second to none and the location is sublime! From bedrooms to restaurants and bar area all are immaculate, and the 2 private beaches quiet and stunning! We spent 7 days and wish we had booked 10! Keep it to yourself though ! Ssshhhh

We had an 11 night stay and were utterly impressed with our first experience of an all inclusive hotel holiday. The resort has a lot of charm, the 'rooms' laid out on a hillside with cobbled paths and trees between, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The communal hotel areas are stylish and spacious with hardly a spot without a stunning view. The pool is very much the main activity, it is big enough to swim in and rarely crowded, then just down some steps from the pool area is Marpunta Beach. The food was all exceptional with huge choice at breakfast and dinner buffet. Akinos restaurant by the pool has a full menu at lunch (starters are big - you won't need one each!) but much of this menu can be ordered from the pool bar which suited us better to eat around the pool. The milkshakes and coffee were also the best! Our room was very comfortable and cleaned impeccably each day, the lovely lady doing it even found my wedding ring I'd dropped out on the balcony and put it safe for me. All the staff worked incredibly hard, special mention to charming Miltos who drove the golf buggy, always appearing with a big smile offering a lift, which our daughter loved. We wanted a holiday in Greece without the noise and activities so many hotels have and what we found fitted the bill exactly. There's not loads to see on the island, we did hire a car and had a fantastic meal in Crisie Mila bay - the beaches we saw are beautiful but when you then have to pay for sun-loungers and food/drinks, there is little reason to leave Marpunta. No photos added because they are 'too big'!

The hotel is a great place to stay and relax, The rooms and the whole resort was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the service by the staff was superb Even thought all the meals in the evening are buffet I could not fault the food which had a lot of choices and was always very tasty and was an enjoyable experience to have a meal The 2 beaches are very clean and there was never a problem getting a sunbed The staff work incredibly hard and a special mention to George and Tonia at the bar who were incredibly friendly And to Eva and Nikos at the restaurant who always talked to you and we’re helpful all we’re a credit to the hotel The only point to be aware of is it is not a place for the unfit or infirm as there are a lot of steps from the accommodation to the main complex,Also beware of the wash once a day from the jet boat which sends a big wave up the beach overall a great place to stay we will return

The hotel is beautifully laid out. It's a mixture of single and double story blocks. Rooms are various sizes with different views depending on price. The gardens and grounds are delightful. Our room was a standard one, however the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a massive shower. Bath/shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and body lotion provided. The view was of a back ally way so not too good- but you get what you pay for. Food was excellent. Breakfast comprised a full range of tastes. Cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread and pastries, cold meat, cheese, fruit juice. Full English with all the ingredients. Eggs anyway you liked including an omelet station. Bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. Lunch, a really varied menu served by waiting staff. Dinner, self service with soup, hot and cold starters. Always a roast of some kind a fish dish and generally a pasta or risotto. Salads made up or you can make your own with the various ingredients available. Plenty to choose from, I usually made a dish up of all the various starters available. All delicious Drinks, a good range of brand names, beers, cocktails etc. Sunbeds around the pool are very comfortable and the ones on the beach not so. Hotel clientele tends to be mainly Italian families. There appeared to be a couple of reps from an Italian tour firm permanently on site. They arranged what entertainment was available which naturally was for their clients. So if you are not Italian and are looking for a hotel with plenty of entertainment you would be disappointed. They did however play very annoying music on a loop around the pool. It was a recording very similar to the old fashion 'Now' records. Unknown artists imitating old pop tunes. The Italian influence is very much in evidence, which is fine if you were holidaying in Italy. Unfortunately, for me the traditional Greek hospitality was not evident. The staff are friendly and helpful but overall it was not the upmarket Greek experience I was expecting. So I agree with other reviews regarding the Italian Influence. So, if you are seeking a romantic getaway this hotel is not for you unless you avoid the Italian school holidays. The food, the views, the location are fantastic but for me that little bit of Greek magic is missing. Lunch menu attached and our room without a view!

Just back from a two week stay . Lovely hotel staff are amazing very friendly . Had a side sea view room was nice shame there wasn't a little bit more storage space. Food was lovely didn't have anything we didn't like . I visited the massage parlour and had a Swedish massage it was amazing highly recommend. Only down side for me is a shame there wasn't a shop in the hotel where you could pick up a magazine, paper or toiletries ect. As it's abit of a trek into town if you need to pick anything up. Would definitely like to come back one year ,shame we had to come home.

Room - very pleases with the room. Good enough sized bedroom. Larger than expected bathroom. Balcony very limited sea view but as we had paid for a garden view this was a bonus. And cleaned spotlessly. Food - outstanding. Breakfast - fantastic. Lunch as good as it was last year. Minor grumble - why couldn't the pizza/burger be eaten at the restaurant?(though did succumb one day and allow this). Evening buffet - best buffet food I have ever had anywhere. Almost too much choice with a fresh grill station, roast meat, fresh pasta plus lots more Grounds/pool etc stunning. Staff - brilliant. Never had to wait very long for anything. A real gem of a place - I hope we havecaccess to this resort via tui in the future - didn't seem to have any availability for next year.....

Hotel was stunning and the staff so friendly and would do anything you asked of them. In particular Nicos, Vanessa and Gesti in the pool bar. Yes, the stairs are hard going but we often managed to get a lift to the top of the hill. We had a family room overlooking the sea and it was stunning. We hired a car and followed Nicos advice on where to go round the island including the old town, all the beaches, the inflatable course at Agios Dimitros, Steni Vala etc. We used the paddle boards at the hotel and took a boat trip too through Albeeda Travel in Patitiri, which was amazing particularly as we saw Dolphins. My main niggle was the behaviour of the Italians towards the English residents and the Greek staff….. shouting at Pool Bar staff whilst they were waiting for a delivery of towels, then barging in and interrupting me whilst ordering drinks, that I had queued ten minutes for - to shout at Vanessa for not telling her beforehand that they had no towels!!! Also a huge argument regarding the sun beds which although was not my issue, I took umbrage to being yelled at “who are you” and then being called a pig by a lovely Italian man. The sun beds are a real issue, if you are.not going to lay on them - don’t take them simples! Also, TUI advertise a gift shop, archery, yoga, gym - none of which are there. All activities are provided for the Italians and not the English. I would return to the island but not the hotel for those reasons. Also All Inclusive does not include drinks in room or tea and coffee - pop to a supermarket as they are cheaper.

Breathtaking views and amazing sunset Very satisfying breakfast. The beach restaurant called Achinos was a nice experience with perfect views of the beach. Needs more buggies to go around the resort . The rooms were very clean . The pillows however were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on . Worthwhile visiting and a kife experience
