Our campsite was not level, and did not have a fire pit. However, one was promptly supplied by the staff at our request. We noticed that numerous trees in the park had dead branches. Great location for history buffs. Staff and Manager were very helpful.

Number one mistake: don't book a short visit! You'll want at least three full days! We have to come back because our stay was too short. It's off season so we landed two nice shady, flat tent sites. Restroom (clean) very nearby. There's a lot to do here. Do yourself a favor, skip lunch, get nice and hungry, and go... More

A very nice campground with many activities for families. Becoming tree heavy so limited satellite sites available. 50amp service is an additional fee. There are many annual sites somewhat limiting sites for the traveling RV'er.

Campground was very nice. Campsites were good size, not crowded. The site we were on was not very level, but it worked out alright. Boat ramp to the river looked ok, and the pier was very nice. Really good looking lake to fish in also. Overall good campground.

It was OK but were disappointed in the condition of the amenities. The game room was very badly kept. The furniture and games were in very poor condition and unattended by a staff member. We were there to attend the Bluegrass Festival and that was very good.

Just a great place to camp, plenty to do and very nice people always ready to help to make things right. Bluegrass Festival was awesome. We had a great time with friends, and family all camping close by.

We visit the Chesapeake Bay Preserve several times a year, and have always had a great time. The Bluegrass by the Bay Festival, put on by Sandy Corker and the staff, was really good, with many talented bands playing til late in the evening.

Visited for the Bluegrass festival. The stage area was very nice. The bathrooms were kept clean with plenty of paper. The ladies were in there keeping the area clean. We camped in RV; our site was great with shade from early morning until evening. The ponds and river made a relaxing time; watching our friend's dog Banjo playing in the... More
