My sister & I took our Mom to Stoney Meadow Inn for her 80th birthday. The hospitality of George & Janet Nester could not have been more warm & welcoming. After our one-night stay, we felt like we were leaving old friends behind. Janet welcomed us on Friday afternoon with a delicious, warm homemade pound cake & coffee AND my...

My sister and I stayed here this weekend with our mother to celebrate her 80th birthday. The owners, Janet and George Nester, were so welcoming! Janet went above and beyond, assisting us with our arrival following a storm, providing a delicious home-baked treat, spending time on the property with us to introduce us to their animals (goats, chickens, and a...

We booked here out of desperation when we found out our son would be getting his PhD from VT. ( Hotels closer are booked a year in advance.) Sometimes it pays to be tardy. Delightful hosts, delightful space, convenient to Blacksburg and Roanoke, comfortable and reasonable. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, this couldn't be better placed for cyclists, leaf-peepers,...

We had such a great time staying with Janet and George! They were both very sweet and welcoming and the inn was immaculate. Our 5 year old son had a wonderful time seeing the animals. Janet made us a fantastic breakfast with eggs fresh from the farm! We will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic time staying with Janet and George at Stoney Meadow. They are both great and welcoming hosts and the accommodation wants for nothing. We, a party of four, stayed for one night as we drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway. We arrived a little later than planned, but rather than letting us go back out to find...

I can't add much to the other 5 "star" comments but to say that this is a wonderful B&B. The setting is lovely, the hosts are charming, the food delish, the rooms & bed comfy and spotlessly clean. Even Grizz the dog is delightful. Would I return? You bet I would, in a heartbeat! It would be a bargain at...

I'm going to write this from the perspective of a cyclist since there are already lots of great reviews. Don't let the short dirt road put you off. The inn is very easy to find. A warm welcome awaits. Janet made a tired, hungry (vegetarian) cyclist feel ever so at home with a warm welcome, a meal and tonnes of...

We spent a night at Stoney Meadow while on our way home along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We wanted to have dinner at Chateau Morrisette and Stoney Meadow is in a great location to allow that to happen. The space is just like home with a separate bedroom and bathroom for either room you choose. There is a kitchen, a...

We stayed at the Stoney Meadow Inn on July 8. We arrived right after a big thunderstorm and the power was out! Thanks to George and Janet the generator soon took relay and we had a great and warm welcome. We spent the evening at the Friday night jamboree in Floyd; a great musical and cultural experience! The room we...

Only superlatives will describe our experience at Stoney Meadow Inn. Staying there for a birthday weekend, it was the most relaxing, most attractive B & B with the best food, best hosts, best location, and BEST DOG - GRIZZ - EVER!! Janet's pound cake was most delectable as were her breakfasts. Janet and George both made us feel welcome and...
