After reading lots of reviews and the awards this place has, my husband booked it for our anniversary. To cut a long story short, the building is old and we were staying in a room above the kitchen that also had an outside area immediately below us where you could dine/drink - land a helicopter 50 metres away which is...

Firstly, the hotel. Our room (grouse) was on the small side but well decorated with great finishing touches like blackout blinds, dressing gowns and good quality toiletries. The bed was comfy bed and very quiet - a great nights sleep. I successfully used the wifi from the bedroom. The room had a fair few irritating factors though. The bath (a...

This is one of the most romantic, hotels i've had the pleasure of being in! The beautiful countryside is breathtaking in the morning, fairly remote from anywhere and the cosy restaurant and rooms couldn't really be faulted! The staff are exceptionally friendly and will assist in every possible way. Rooms are very clean, immaculately presented with luxurious throws, roll top...

Booked this through secret escapes and it was a real bargain. The accommodation is excellent and I really liked the contemporary decor. What let it down was the service. We had afternoon tea as part of the deal. We approached the bar and asked the barman for the afternoon tea. He looked at us bemused and said some else deals...

We stayed two nights (17-18th August) in the Hare Room as a gift from our daughter. The room was quirky and comfortable. Traffic and extractor fan (from restaurant kitchen) noise if windows open. Room is quite dark, no cupboards and limited place to store luggage. Comfortable double bed, big metal bath, no shower. Wifi in bedroom and pub area. The...

We stayed here in July. It was a beautiful stay .The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were really nice and a great deal of thought has gone into the little extra touches. The dinner was superb as was the breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again. Amazing place and all the little...

We enjoyed our third stay and fifth visit to this super place. Food excellent, atmosphere charming, staff always polite and helpful. Lovely room Stag with a hot tub, the only suggestion I could make is to do some planting in the hot tub courtyard area to give it a bit of a softer feel. Hey but what the heck it...

Took my young family to this pub with rooms/boutique hotel to round off our 2015 holiday for a two night stay with evening meals. The food came highly recommended by a colleague who has lived in the area over many years. This pub serves fantastic food, locally sourced and seasonal served by friendly staff. Fantastic list of wines for all...

This pub looks the part and is in a lovely countryside setting with nice grounds. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, well decorated, themed and in excellent condition. My only problems with the room was a tiny rubbish bin and no shower screen which meant a flood was unavoidable. The pub was nice but food and drink were overpriced. The...

The rooms are decorated and equipped in an unusual modern style that doesn't always work, but the beds are comfortable. Restaurant quite distinguished and the kitchen produced some exciting and well prepared meals.
