We needed to spend the night in Farmville and booked this B&B. If you're looking for a place where the owner tells great stories and cooks a nice breakfast, this isn't it. If you want a large room, good price, near campus, and don't mind whipping up breakfast from the supplies in the kitchen then you're in luck. You get... More

Staying at Longwood Bed & Breakfast is an exceptional experience in so many ways. The house itself is an exquisite southern mansion which is furnished and decorated beautifully with many antiques throughout. Each room is spacious, has wooden floors and offers an invitation to enjoy its charming elegance. There is a fern filled veranda to relax on and from which... More

We biked the High Bridge Trail and wanted a place to stay nearby. The Longwood University B&B is close enough that we biked to the trailhead. On the night we stayed there were two other rooms rented and we still felt we had the entire place to ourselves. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want for breakfast and... More

I reserved the Cunningham room for my wife and her sister, who were in town for a one-night stay. They both thoroughly enjoyed this B&B, the Sunday morning breakfast that was served, and the friendly staff. Lorrie, the manager, also was great in helping arrange for some treats dropped off to their room on Saturday evening.

We traveled to Farmville, VA with the sole purpose of bicycle riding on the High Bridge State Park. We found the Longwood B&B, convenient to the trail, a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. They have good parking, inviting verandas and sitting rooms and delicious breakfasts. The director, Lorrie Watson also suggested "Date Night" at Charley's Waterfront for our... More

Bed - but no breakfast, unless "Help yourself to cold cereal" counts. (Maybe it's different on the weekend. We arrived Sunday evening) Rooms are spacious and comfortable. B&B is convenient to Longwood University and Main Street Farmville. Convenient parking in back of the B&B.

I stayed for the third time at Longwood B&B on a business trip to the university. This is a beautiful old house with gigantic pillars in the front and wrap-around porches. Patrons are greeted after hours by an envelope that gives them a code to access the house. Cookies await in the entrance parlor. The rooms are beautifully appointed with... More

My wife and I stayed at the Longwood U B&B this past Saturday night after spending the day at Green Front. The B&B is beautiful, clean, and is in the heart of downtown Farmville (walking distance to restaurants and the main street), We got to the B&B after it was 'closed' and were greeted with a nice welcome package, fresh... My husband and I came into town for a function at Longwood and the university put us up here. We got the room shown in the profile picture. We cam after dark and the inn director, Lorrie, goes home at five or so, so we were just left a set of keys and a security code to get into the... More
