Currently fronts as a homeless shelter — they do not warn you of this — and there’s rotting trash in the bins in the hallways. Otherwise, splendid! The cheeky manager told me that they have a Southern style menu, maybe the new occupants cook it.
Classy place. Great decor and service. Stephanie at front desk was lovely and accommodating. Maria in the concierge lounge is absolutely top notch. Treats you like a guest in her upscale home. Reminds me of the service in a European hotel. This is the perfect place for the business traveler and leisure traveler alike. Super spacious rooms on 3rd floor. Only con (for us) is that the toiletries contain patchouli - yuck. Bring your own if you aren’t a fan. Great location near mall and right off 50. Love this place. Will be back.
The hotel lobby was small but led into a larger atrium like lobby/lounge area where guests can gather and socialize. There were grouped seating such as booth like seats for a group of 6 and larger areas to gather. there's a restaurant and bar in the lobby area. We had a double bed which was comfortable. The room was clean and inviting. The TV was large and new. My room was very far from the elevator and i would ask for a room closer next time. The hotel also has rooms that face the atrium.
We stayed at the Fairfax Marriott for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in, the staff could not have been friendlier. The room was impeccable, and the hotel overall was inviting. We had a fabulous dinner in the hotel restaurant which features both small plates and dinner-sized portions. I've dined in many high-end restaurants, and this one did not disappoint. It is unique in that the food rivals those at the top of the list, yet the atmosphere is casual and relaxing. Our server Tony was an absolute delight. Clearly their Chef enjoys what he does because the offerings were not only delicious but also featured some truly unique flavor profiles. This was a leisure trip, but I would recommend the hotel for business travelers as well.
The menu at the in house restaurant here has changed dramatically over time. Food at the in house restaurant is HORRIBLE and COLD, worse than "hotel food". In room dining options are VERY limited. Location and staff are average. Better food options if you walk across the street to the mall. Plenty of full service restaurants within a very short walk. Hotel has not been updated in years. There is NO longer a POOL here, it was filled in for more break out room space.
