We loved staying here! We stayed in the Bell Room for one night on our way back to Ohio from Myrtle Beach, and it was beautiful! Loved the decorations and how 'at home' you felt. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were just a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend staying here!

This was our first visit to the Rockwood Manor and I must say the mansion is breath taking. The library and sitting room is beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Cowan room which we enjoyed very much, very comfortable and clean. We travel to PA. every year and usually drive two days there and back. The Rockwood Manor, which is...

Upon planning a roadtrip in September, 2016 from Atlanta to Boston, we found Rockwood Manor on Tripadvisor and made a reservation. What an incredible treasure we found. This is a beautiful southern manor house located in the Virginia Blue Ridge area, convenient to I-81. The hosts trace their lineage back to the construction of this home in the 19th century....

My husband and I stayed at the manor for one night on our way to Virginia Beach from Nashville, TN. It is an amazing place and full of history! What a wonderful coincidence to learn the family has a connection with the McGavock family from Nashville. There is a family tree in the front parlor of the McGavock line and...

We stayed here October 2016. The architecture alone is amazing. Our room was in the first floor ~ large room, sitting area and oversized bathroom. Views are fabulous and food was great! No problem with directions and, after a Va Tech game, it's a great place to relax, put your feet up and breath deeply.

My sister and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the beautiful historic Rockwood Manor last weekend. All the rooms are large and beautifully decorated with period furniture. We chose the Bell Room which is on the first floor because my sister has been to Rockwood twice before and that has become her favorite room. We were fortunate to have the...

Whether talking about the manor or Miss Sarah, the title fits. The manor is a grand beauty inside and out. Miss Sarah welcomed us to her home and we felt very much as if visiting a favorite aunt. The history of Rockwood is fascinating. Sarah's son, Frank, joined us at breakfast and we had a wonderful conversation. The grounds are...

My Mother is truly a Southern Belle and we are blessed to have her here. So glad you feel the same way. She has more fans than the home

The pictures of this wonderful home attracted us when making reservations, but the delightful hosts would bring us back. We learned a lot about the history of the home from the owner's interesting stories, and her son showed us his humor and dedication to the home and grounds. Our room kept the historical period feeling but provided all of the...

Thank you for your kind words. Mother and I really enjoy sharing our Family Home and it's History with all of our guests. Many come just to meet Mother and then return because it really feels like home.

I write this review belatedly as I stayed at this lovely place at the time of my uncle's death and funeral. The hosts were very welcoming and kind, the food was delicious, and the bed was very comfortable, and the house is lovely. What more could one ask? Enjoy!

booked on booking.com at the last minute and arrived there late in the day. No one home but a note on the door said "let yourself in and make youself at home". beautiful setting and super comfortable. Wonderful family that owns the place and has been in the same family for generations. Well worth the stay.
