Stayed in the Blue Cottage. Ultra clean and the best appointed kitchen we’ve found. Had paper towels, sponge, dish soap, etc., even coffee! Also had a flashlight, umbrella, extra jackets. So thoughtful. Comfy queen bed. Snug shower, but water hot and pressure fine.
The front yard borders the Creeper Trail; the back Laurel Creek. Can walk almost everywhere in Damascus. Grocery is 2 miles away.

This 2 bedroom cottage was clean and well appointed. One bedroom had a double bed and the other bedroom had 2 twin beds. The linens were good ones and the beds had cute bedspreads and lacy bed skirts . There is a "Swan" rocker in the living room that was very comfortable and added a bit of charm to the cabin. There was a good size kitchen with full size refrigerator and microwave as well as stove and breakfast table for 4. There are plenty of plates, glasses , utensils, and so forth. The AC system worked great! The cottage is on the bike trail and they have bikes for their patrons to use. It is near the swimming pool and the bike shop is near by. Damascus is a "walking" town and you can walk anywhere you need to go for food, post office, other bed and breakfast establishments and so on.

Room Tip: I was in cabin 2. It is a duplex so I imagine both sides are the same.

We stayed in one side of the duplex this past weekend with our friends and can’t say enough great things about the property! Everything was so clean and we loved the outdoor area with the swings around the fire pit and the enclosed screened in porch with all the amenities of a kitchen. Buddy and Sean were great to work with and we already want to plan a trip back and take more friends with us!

We just spent 5 nights at the Creeper Trail Cottages. What a great place! The cottages are comfortable and cozy. Very clean too! The screened-in porch along the creek is perfect for a family reunion or gathering. Loved the swings around the fire pit. Buddy and Sean Albro are excellent hosts. Stay here if you can.

We had another fun trip being right on the creeper trail and the river at the creeper trail cottages. The cottage was so comfortable and fit all our needs. We loved the new swing and fire pit. You can walk to everything.

My extended family went there for a memorial service for my Father in law who as a AT through hiker was very attached to Damascus. It was a somber time for us and Buddy went to great lengths to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I can't say for sure that we got any special treatment compared to other guests, but if that is the norm then you can't be in better hands. He had recently bought the property, but he was definitely in the swing of things already. There was a very nice fire pit with porch swings surrounding it that we found very relaxing. He had bikes for our use and room for the young ones to run around and play ball by the creek. The cottages them selves were quaint and functional. It felt like a little home, except I rarely have a plate of cookies waiting for me to arrive. I can't speak to any other accommodations in the area but if you are planning a trip here I suspect you know more about than I do anyway. The family is thinking of making this a semi annual trip and I doubt we will look at other places.

The 1-bedroom "Rock Bottom" Cottage suited our preference for a simple, functional, roomy base from which to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail, just steps away. It was luxurious compared to our usual tent or KOA cabin stays! Our 4-night stay was during the coldest weather of the season so far -- daytime 40s/nighttime 20s -- but the cottage maintained the cozy 67F we set. We can't say enough about the cleanliness and the very well-appointed kitchen. Dishes, utensils, pots were all in good condition. Electric appliances included a full-size stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker (with coffee!) and clothes washer/dryer. The wi-fi performance was good but we didn't use it or the Internet-connected TV much. The double bed was very comfy memory foam made up with quality linens. A very quiet area away from highway noise. Our host, Buddy, was available by phone within minutes and so knowledgeable about the area. "Downtown" Damascus shops are a short walk away. Be sure to see the many murals there!

I stayed at Creeper Trail Cottages this past weekend for a family biking trip. This property is in the perfect location for exploring the Creeper Trail, as it is located at mile 16, right in the middle of the trail. From here, it is easy to go either direction and take in the beautiful scenery from one end of the trail to the other. We stayed in the side by side duplexes on the property, with 4 people in each unit. The units were clean and well maintained. They are supplied with linens, dishes and plenty of cookware. It was fun sitting on the porch and just watching cyclists pass by. There is a great picnic pavilion with a very nice grill where we enjoyed dinner all together each night. There is an awesome fire pit surrounded by 5 comfy porch swings - perfect for relaxing after dinner! This place is quiet and relaxing.

Our group really enjoyed our stay in this warm and inviting little cottage. It was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for the long weekend. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The location is perfect, with both the Creeper Trail, the river, and several restaurants and an outfitters just steps away.

I can't wait to go back!
