This really was a beautiful Bed and Breakfast nestled in the hills and away from the bustling city. We arrived on a Sunday and got to enjoy the tasting room before they closed. The wines were delicious and got some cheese and salami to eat with our flights. We checked in very smoothly, explored the house and common areas. Our bedroom was super clean and had everything we needed (even a heater as the room was very cold at night). The views were beautiful and our three course family style dinner was delicious. The Chef went over each plate as it was served fresh and we enjoyed each one. Thank you Chef Megan! Breakfast was another experience. The three course included fresh baked pastries (croissants one day, then muffins), a yogurt parfait, and main entree (avocado toast on first day, then an egg frittata). Chef Stephanie was attentive and provided us with our drinks, coffee and plates in a very timely manner. We stayed for two nights and took a trip into Charlottesville to explore the downtown Mall. Mondays and Tuesdays some stores will be closed but we still managed to find several places of interest. Overall, we had a very pleasant time away from the usual hustle. Before we left, we also made sure to grab the wine bottles that we enjoyed. Needless to say, it was effortless, spotless, and a wonderful getaway.…
This was our second visit to Stinson and just as great as the first. Unfortunately it was rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool but made the most of our stay with cheese and wine! The breakfast was absolutely Devine & you can’t get anything cleaner than this place. As a self proclaimed germaphobe, Stinson truly feels like a home away from home. I also had to take a work call and the wifi held up pretty well - I’d come work from here for sure. As an added plus, the white Stinson wine is our favorite and we always leave with bottles to bring home :) we actually rented out the entire inn for a family birthday later in 2023 and we’re so excited to share this place with those we love most!
When we drove up we thought well this looks like a nice place. But when we went inside we were both stunned at how beautiful it was with all the gorgeous details! We had the cottage room which had a fabulous built in daybed with spectacular views of the pool, vineyard and mountains. Our room also had a very comfortable king bed and Large shower with a most unusual showerhead. If we did not make reservations for dinner but the complementary breakfast, all three courses of it, were delicious and more than the usual fare. The whole place was immaculately clean and quiet and beautiful with lovely plantings outside around the pool and the front walk. We are definitely planning to come back and will also be dining there.
From the moment we entered the inn to the moment we left, we felt were were treasured guests. Stephanie greeted us & from then on, was very present in all aspects of the inn, our tour guide, our waitress & the important person who made us breakfast in the morning-always with a warm smile We stayed in the Cottage room, lovely with a stunning view of the vineyard The inn is small, only 4 rooms, the public areas are beautifully decorated & well laid out-a very comfortable screened porch was a perfect spot to enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine We opted for the Wine Cellar Dinner-with wine pairings, every morsel was sublime We ate breakfast on the lovely porch, again, prepared & presented so well It was a Monday, so the vineyard was closed, indeed, many vineyards in the area were only open at the end of the week All in all, a hidden gem, an easy drive to Charlottesville We are very ready to return!…
We stayed here with friends, and it was like sharing a home together. Everything about this place speaks to comfort, luxury and pure indulgence. The views of the vineyard are amazing. The outdoor swimming pool is a wonderful treat on a warm day. The rooms are well appointed and include lovely furnishings. The breakfast is delicious and such a delight with amazing coffee that can be served on the patio, screen porch or inside dining room. There is a small refrigerator with complimentary soda and each room comes with a gifted bottle of their own wine. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this Inn. The location is ideal as you can visit nearby wineries and dine in Charlottesville, which is less than a 20-minute drive. Stop looking a book here!
We visited here as a group of 8 friends and had the entire inn. What a wonderful experience. Tyler prepared us the wine cellar dinner our first night. This was a tremendous meal in a great venue, the wine cellar. Amy was our breakfast hostess and chef. She is a tremendous asset to the inn as well as great chef. The grounds are very pretty with views of the vineyards all around. The rooms are modern and well appointed. This is a gem we will return to. Thanks to Amy, Megan, Fiona and Tyler for their welcoming manner which made for a very enjoyable several days for our group of friends.
This is a beautiful place,a hidden gem.Our room had a view of the Vineyards and mountains. Chef Tyler prepared us a delicious meal and Amy prepared a delicious breakfast. Our experience was wonderful. We would recommend it to anyone. We met the owner while we were out walking. He explained the challenges of producing a high quality wine due to fluctuating weather.
Hidden gem with beautiful views of the vineyards and mountains. Incredible hospitality and amenities. Breakfast by Amy was exceptional. The wines are delicious. Easy access to other wineries and Charlottesville. We will return. Thank you!
This was an amazing stay! The inn is contemporary and beautiful. The service is outstanding! The views from the rooms and pool area are breathtaking! We went to the tasting room. The wines are delicious! The morning breakfasts are a highlight! We are already thinking about a return visit. Thank you, Scott Stinson and Stephanie.
My daughter and I stayed here in November 2019 and were so pleased we returned in May 2021. This inn is beautifully updated and we loved our second stay as much as the first. Amy is a gracious and friendly host. I am so glad we decided to do the private wine tasting and it did not dissapoint. Sipping Rachel's wine on the deck with gorgeous scenery, what could be better? This trip I had a chance to swim in the heated saltwater pool on a starry May evening and it was fabulous. Amy's breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to our day. A beautiful property with top notch service!
