You simply can not miss by staying at Stinson. Just a handful of guest rooms in a warm and spacious home sitting right in the vineyard. Views out across the countryside to the Blue Ridge mountains. Wish we could have bought the place as it was just about perfect. Its worth stopping by just to meet the innkeeper - she will take care of you and get you on your way with an excellent breakfast.

Went to the Stinson hill winery lovely place. Saw there was an inn. We decided to stop in and inquire about staying there in the future since we are big inn people. When we got to the door a woman opened it and asked if she could help us. We told her we were interested to stay there in the future and would like info. She was on her phone and said she was checking in a guest. Funny check in is at 3 and we were there at 1:30. Really couldn’t be bothered. Told us quick to go online and check website. Said they have breakfast and a pool. Didn’t offer us to go inside or any other info the whole time holding her phone We have gone to many inns unannounced if we were in the area and they graciously gave us a tour and info. And they were way more busier. We did also in the future end up staying there I mean this is your business and she could of cared less and was not friendly at all. Because of this I would NEVER stay in this establishment. If this is there customer service imagine if you’re staying there

Response from Rachel V, Owner at The Inn at Stinson Vineyards
Responded Sep 11, 2019
Lauren: Thank you for your feedback. Customer service is our number one concern, and I am sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience while inquiring about a future stay. In order to protect the privacy of our guests (and allow for a tight turnover schedule) we are unable to accommodate unscheduled tours of the Inn. Nonetheless, your inquiry could have and should have been handled with more grace, and I do apologize for that. We are happy to schedule tours via email (rebecca@innatstinsonvineyards.com) or phone (434.823.4350). All the Best, Rachel

I'll be honest - I'd never heard of Stinson Vineyards, and I'd definitely never heard of the Inn. We actually found Stinson wine when we were in Savannah, GA - they had a bottle of their Cab Franc on their wine list. It was a VA winery we'd never heard of, looked it up, saw they had an Inn, and boom, made a reservation to check it out, along with the winery and other wineries in the area. First - the Inn is beautiful. It's about 6 months old, and whoever designed it did a great job. There are 4 rooms, two upstairs and two downstairs, a beautiful hearth/living room, big kitchen, dining room, study, and downstairs area (we didn't go to the downstairs area). We stayed in the Cottage Room, which also has a little day bed that faces the window - spent some good time on there watching TV and overlooking the vineyards/mountains - it has a lovely view (the Cottage Room is also on the 2nd floor of the Inn). Breakfast was delicious both days. The first day, the normal Innkeeper was away, so Mr. Stinson and Margo were our hosts. Margo's apple cinnamon pancakes were delicious, and we were treated to individual french presses. There was also yogurt with fruit/granola, sausage, and bacon. The 2nd day, the regular innkeeper was back, and since we were the only guests that night (everyone else had checked out), she kindly asked us what we preferred for breakfast. We chose scrambled eggs and she treated us to those, ham, yogurt and fruit, and again, those lovely little french presses. Since we were the only people in the Inn on the last night, we took the opportunity to get take-out from the local BBQ place and come back and spent the evening with our dinner and a bottle of Stinson Cabernet Franc in the hearth room. The Innkeeper kindly built a beautiful roaring fire for us. I can't say enough good things about this Inn. Go, stay, enjoy Stinson winery and the other wineries surrounding the area - you'll be glad to come back to the Inn at night.

This place is magic! The location is perfect. The Inn is right in the middle of the vineyard, just steps from the tasting room and just a few miles from lots of other wineries and downtown Crozet. Rebecca is a wonderful host, chef, advice-giver on activities. Everything about the stay was perfect and pampering, from Rebecca’s hospitality to the Inn itself. We were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast each day using eggs from the resident chickens and other local treats, not to mention tea and espresso made to order. Rebecca was the perfect host and made us feel like the most important people she had ever met. The rooms are all equally amazing. So quiet and relaxing, beds you just sink into, calming décor, aromatherapy diffusers, and the most GORGEOUS bathrooms. Other amenities include the pool (OMG, the pool! Think heated outdoor pool surrounded by vineyard), free super-fast wifi, ample towels, and a flat screen TV, if you plan to spend any time in your room. We got to meet the winemaker, Rachel and tour the Inn’s wine cellar. Her Sauvignon Blanc, Meritage and Rose were a few of our favorites. We left already planning our next trip!

We loved our stay at Stinson Vineyards and the wine tasting was great too! Rebecca was super generous serving delicious breakfast and spoiling us in the mornings with delicious macchiatos and french press coffee. We did a nearby hike along the river and horseback riding at Veritas vineyards.
