Visited here for triathlon weekend. Greeted with sparkling wine and great food. Traveled with daughters, and owner was kind enough to find 2 rooms, both nicely decorated. The girls' room was very pretty, and they loved it and slept well both nights. Owner was great with ideas (thanks especially for the fossil beach idea). Also, the breakfast was amazing. Both... My husband and I love staying at the Tides Inn & Market! We are spoiled with kindness by the owner Meghan and eat until our hearts content at Caitlin's market. We have been several times and I can't believe all the new upgrades we saw his time! New TVs, mini kitchenettes, and the linens and beds are soooo comfy! The... More

Our 2 night stay at the Tides Inn was the spring board for a new favorite get- away destination. We will definitely return to see Meaghan the owner and her daughter Caitlyn next year! The house is decorated with period furniture surrounded by charming accents. Our room was spacious and quiet, and included a sitting area and a large bathroom.... More

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night, 3 day stay at the Tides Inn in Colonial Beach. The rooms are the size of suites, with sitting areas, period furniture and spacious bathrooms. Being the offseason, the hotel was not filled to capacity but their was an adorable 8 month baby directly below us and we didn't hear a... More

Quaint Edwardian Lady, [not your typical Victorian] nestled in the "business" district of Seaside Colonial Beach, Virginia. Charming Rooms that are spacious, clean, with period furnishings and thoughtful included extras. With the room [2 large beds, seating area and large personal bathroom] was a wine and cheese presentation. The wine was a delicious dry European Rose [perfectly chilled for summer;... More

I didn't stay at the B&B, only visited the cafe. It was charming! They have a large assortment of coffees, teas, sandwiches, and gelato. The owner was very friendly, warm, and welcoming. It was the perfect place to stop in and rest from the sun. Loved it and would go back.

Looking at the other reviews, I feel a little sad that they seem to be a bit skewed. I also absolutely cannot abide cigarette smoke, but the owner makes a great effort NOT to have moke anywhere near the guest rooms. Meghan is wonderful, accommodating, down-to-earth: nothing fake--what you see is what you get. She knew we had to be... More

This was the most wonderful experience for my family and I! I would like to comment on some of the people with the negative reviews...you are staying at a bed & breakfast not the holiday inn so of course things will be "older" like the TVs and there will be antiques everywhere which I believe is the charm of a...
