We finally made it to this wonderful island. It has been on my bucket list for years and it was one of the best beach vacations we have ever had. We chose this B&B because of the pictures showing the view of the bay and the hot tub. Both were fantastic. On our first night, we bought a bottle of... More

My husband surprised my four years ago with a weekend getaway for our anniversary. What a great weekend we had. Cedar Gables was our first B&B and boy did it spoil us. Since our first visit, we've made it a tradition to come every year for our anniversary. We love Cedar Gables and we love the Captain's Quarters! Claudia greets... More

Claudia and Kitty make you feel extremely welcomed and the home is so relaxing with spectacular views! We stayed in the Captains Quarters and the room was beautiful with every attention to detail. Kitty made us a wonderful breakfast and truly went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. We will be back and highly recommend this... More

This is a hard one to write.....I have to agree with some of the mixed reviews below though. Absolute plus is the location - far enough from the "touristy" main strip (only 5 minutes) and on a gorgeous property with direct access and views of the marsh and channels. I see comments about the coffee. I am not a coffee... More

Cedar Gables has all the amenities that a big resort hotel has, with the added bonus of being tucked away on a small island. The inn is furnished beautifully and is spotless. Breakfast is huge and delightful with something different offered everyday. The owner Claudia is very accommodating, and the other women who work there are full of knowledge about... More

Very nice location, nice rooms, nice breakfast. We sorely missed having coffee available early in the morning. The dinky pot in the room not satisfactory. Would have been nice to have a Keurig or thermal pot so we could enjoy coff ee on our little deck. We had to get in the car and search out decent coffee. A Keurig... More

We stayed there for three nights towards the end of June 2015. The room was clean, towels were changed daily, the bed was made during breakfast. Breakfasts were good, but not to everbody's taste, and plentiful. A great plus is the location, somewhat outside of the activity center of Chincoteague Island. Behind the B&B, a small path leads to the... More

While this property has many positives I would like to note one outstanding omission. Early morning coffee! An establishment at this price point, needs to provide simple early morning coffee by way of a Keurig or a thermal pot. Breakfast is served far too late for guests to wait until then for coffee and the little, do it yourself pot... More

Dear former guest, I am so sorry that you found staying at Cedar Gables so unacceptable, we do spend a lot of time and energy maintaining the house and the grounds, and have never before had anyone say they needed TLC. We have found that most people enjoy having breakfast served to them from 8:30 and do offer coffee pots... More

We have stayed in B&B's for years. This is among the best we have stayed in.The accommodations were excellent, We stayed in the Captain's Quarters room. Claudia is a great cook and Kitty did a great job serving breakfast..We had crab omelet one day and southwestern omelet the next day. They were both helpful with giving us information about what... If you're a nature lover, you must visit Chincoteague Island, the home of the wild ponies of Chincoteague, and stay at Cedar Gables Seaside Inn. This is the most unique bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. We stayed at the top of the house in the Captain's Quarter, a beautiful space with a deck overlooking the wildlife refuge.... More
