My husband and I stayed at the Channel Bass Inn for a long weekend getaway. We're from Philadelphia and had never been to Chincoteague, but our time spent at the Inn and in the town definitely inspired a return visit! Barbara and David were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, offering suggestions for places to visit and...

We stayed here one night due to its proximity to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. We were warmly welcomed by David and Barbara, the innkeepers. The inn is a wonderful grand old home. My room was in the front of the house, which had a bit of truck noise for part of the night. The room was clean and spacious....

My husband and I stayed at the Channel Bass Inn with our daughter, her husband and 2 daughters. The Inn was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Barbra and David were so welcoming and were available with wonderful suggestions! Barbra and David even made special breakfast for my 2 granddaughters ages 6 and 10! Every room was wonderful...

I decided to stay solo at the Channel Bass Inn while I was there for five days during the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance Plein Air Paint Out. Barbara and David greeted me like I was a friend visiting their home. The inn is comfortably furnished, with a living room, a gathering room, a glassed in side porch and a large dining...

It was our first time in Chincoteague Island and first time at a b&b. It was great. We usually stay at motels and hotels and were concerned that the inn would be like a crowded family home. It was not. There was plenty of privacy and it was very quiet.Barb and Dave were very hospital and accommodating. We had our...

Went on a girl trip with my daughter. We were supposed to get in at dinner time but we ended up leaving late and didn't get in until 12:30am. Barbara, the owner, was wonderful. She stayed up and waited for us to arrive so she could show us around and tell us how everything worked. (Even thought she had to...

My family of four did an east coast tour of numerous locations and unanimously agree that the Channel Bass Inn was the place that captured our hearts. At the very first meeting of Barbara and David, their passion for eloquent hospitality ushered in three days of pure happiness. Their pride in the Inn and the island and desire to make...

We just got back from 3 days in Chincoteague and absolutely loved the Channel Bass Inn. Barbara and David are wonderful hosts-- outfitting us with bikes and towels for the beach, utensils for our picnic dinner and perfectly prepared breakfasts everyday. Barbara's scones are not to be missed! We brought our 2 dogs and they welcomed them with open arms...

Our recent five day stay at the Channel Bass Inn was one for the memory books. The inn is charming and decorated beautifully. Our room was always clean and very comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing!! Barbara and David really put their heart into making an enjoyable experience for every guest. Barbara even adjusted the breakfast times according the events...

Barbara and David are friendly, delightful, accommodating, helpful. Breakfasts and teas really are outstanding. The inn itself is as charming as it can be. My only suggestion would have to do with the island itself: better to visit at a less crowded time than now (early August).
