Barbara and David are so lovely and go above and beyond to accomodate you. My picky 9 year-old was comfortable and welcome and he can be quite difficult at times. Afternoon tea was a true delight. Breakfast was delicious as well and Barbara will make sure to tailor it to your needs. The ducks that take refuge in the garden... More

I didn't tell my husband where we were sneaking off to on his 60th birthday, so made plans to come here with Barbara. The trip started out badly, with traffic jams and closed tunnels adding hours to our trip, and then we had to contend with ridiculous heat and way too many bugs. But Inn made it all worth it.... We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Chincoteague. It was as comfortable as staying at your closest friend's place all the while being waited upon! There are so many positives to the Channel Bass Inn. First, there are the hosts Barbara and David who are some of the neatest most genuine people we met while... More

When Barbara found out that I was gluten free she went above and beyond, baking GF scones (with real clotted cream) and banana bread. It was so wonderful to have someone so considerate. She is a great baker! Both Barbara and David were very warm and welcoming, and the other guests were also lovely. Staying at their B&B was a... More

Readers know me. I rarely (once in a blue moon) give a "5" rating. This time, it's a "10"! This place is magical. David & Barbara are two of the most amazing "wizards" or some might even say "Angels". Their aura infuses the property (inside and out) with a light so warm yet bright it feeds not only the palette... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days as a "vacation within a vacation" during a reunion trip. We had read the reviews about the delicious breakfasts and warm hospitality, and we found this to be completely true. We also used two of their townie bikes to ride around Chincoteague Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, which was a very... More

My husband and I had a fantastic weekend staying at the Channel Bass Inn, our first trip to Chincoteague. Barbara and David are such kind hosts - we enjoyed getting to know them. Their breakfasts were delicious and Barbara's multi-course English tea is not to be missed! We also appreciated their room of beach supplies (umbrellas, chairs, etc.), super helpful... More

My wife and I visited Chincoteague for my birthday for a 3-day weekend. The weather turned out to be cold and windy, and if we had stayed anywhere else we would have left early and gone home. But we had such a wonderful time with the innkeepers and their friends. Barbara and David are the loveliest people you would ever... More

We visited Channel Bass Inn and Chincoteague Island for my boyfriend's 39th birthday over 4th of July weekend. We wanted something quiet and relaxing, as opposed to Ocean City or the like. Barbara and David, the innkeepers, are amazing, and we had an excellent stay. We stayed in the Topcliffe Room on the 3rd floor, and it is was gorgeous... More

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Channel Bass Inn. Very comfortable and gracious hosts helped us settle in to a perfect suite and made sure we had a dinner reservation upon arrival. Wonderful breakfast and very relaxing time. Perfect location on Chincoteague Island. Lovely antique furnishings and beautiful tableware. English garden and peaceful fountain on the... More
