My son and I tent camped here and had a great experience. The site was nice and spacious in the wooded area with fire pit and picnic table. Keep in mind this is an old campground which I myself love.. Everything is a pretty short walk away unless you are RV camping then it may be a pretty good walk... More

The KOA has very tight quarters for larger travel trailers. The WiFi was iffy at best and the cable TV was nothing to brag about. Several of the channels did not come in at all and those that did were scratchy. The picnic table (which I complained about the night we got there) was bent in the center and one... More

Campground is small, no golf carts are needed, very quiet, friendly environment. Fire pit included, playground, fenced pet area, swimming pool, cable v and Wifi included, and only 9 miles from Monicello.

Very peaceful campgrounds... nice nature trail, dog play area, pool, etc. Campsites did not face each other which we liked. Enjoyed the view of the woods at site 30. Caught some bass in their fishing pond. A+

We stayed here for 4 nights. The campground is quiet but really off the beaten path. It is very woodsy and the sites are oddly spaced. Very little privacy when the place is full. No cell service which is typical for the whole rural area. The wifi is adequate especially when not too many people are using it. The pool... More

My two young kids and I took a road trip with my parents. We stopped by at Charlottesville KOA. It is a shaded area with good pull through spots. The playground is simple and getting a little old, but still usable. The pool is a simple rectangular pool. Not bad, but nothing fancy (a lot of overgrowth around the fence... More

We decided on the spur of the moment on Friday to head to Charlottesville for the weekend so we could finally try Crozet Pizza and take the tour of Monticello. We were able to get reservations and are very glad we did. This campground is located in a rural area and not near any major roads which makes for a... More

We loved this campground, we did stay by the ravine. We got there only to find out, guess what no cell phone service. If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy some history and serenity this is your place. Not to far from everything, great Microbreweries, Wineries and historical sites. The people are friendly and it... More

There is nothing flashy about this site which is what I like about it, the site is quiet and great for a few days get away to re-energise. I particularly like that there is a fenced off dog run to allow toileting of your pooch! This is one site we would have no hesitation in returning to, it's clean tidy... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early November. We typically stay in state parks..this was our first visit to a KOA. We have a 16' airstream. The spaces are very tight but due to the fact it was 'off season' the campers were spread out so that was fine. During peak season I imagine the noise level could be... More
