Welcome to Graduate Charlottesville - where your intellectual curiosity meets your favorite place to stay. We're located in the center of it all, across the street from the University of Virginia Grounds and steps away from The Rotunda and The Lawn. We proudly sit on the historic Main Street, overlooking The Corner, a charming downtown stretch of restored and renovated restaurants, galleries and a slew of fun shops and stops. Quite simply, it's the smartest place to stay in town! Come on by and enjoy our cafe, a "trad and true" mix of rich refined greens, soft pinksand handsome parquet with just the right modern finishes to make it all ours. Sip an espresso in Sheepdog Café, get your consummate collegiate on in the second floor game room, or head up to Camp Ten Four for rooftop views and craft cocktails. We're the perfect spot for a tour of the Grounds, company meet up, or a place to pop by for Ping-Pong, Foosball and a stash of locally crafted brews and bites.

Stay here if visiting University of Virginia. Super friendly staff, best location and walking distance to local restaurants, shops and campus. Also good stopping point if visiting Shenandoah National Park. Great coffee shop too.

Pillows were hard to sleep on and had a little rusty smell. Elevator is small, only fit like 4 people. NO breakfast provided. Parking is extra. Not worth it for $199/night. I would not stay here again.

We checked in late at night and the room was not cleaned thoroughly. The fridge had spoiled food in it. It smelled up the whole room. We were moved to a different room. The room size was adequate and bed was comfortable. We were not able to access the roof as advertised and learned after check in that it was rented out for the entire evening. Overall experience was poor. Valet also has limited hours - which was not made clear until we asked so if you’re going to need your car, self-park.

This hotel is very convenient to UVA campus and the medical centers. You are close to lots of food options. The rooms have a fun retro collegiate vibe. They offer a coffee service. Parking, whether self-serve or valet is $18 overnight. But it's downtown and have a covered parking garage, so maybe worth the price to have a clean and safer car park?? I did not use the amenities, so I cannot comment. They do have a fitness room and a game room available, though.

Location is great. Facilities need re-investment. Here are some low hanging fruit of things to fix: * lights in garage are out * garage needs a cleaning Here are longer term items to fix * hallway carpeting needs replacement * reception area needs refreshing

This hotel is in a great location and the decor is quirky and fun. Unfortunately, our room was hot regardless of the air running constantly and the room was not as clean or comfortable as you would expect when paying over $500 a night.

Very disappointed in this property. I have stayed at other Graduate properties and love the theme and charm. This property was very worn, neglected and dirty. Bed linens stained, pilled, old. Broken lamp at bedside. Common areas dirty. Very expensive and very disappointed.

We came to Charlottesville for my husbands 40th med school reunion. The Graduate room was 700$ and was the experience of 190$ The bathroom tile needed a deep clean. On a positive note the location is great but way overpriced

The hotel in the website looks great, but the reality was that we were not allowed to use any of the amenities. We overpaid for the room. It was about $700. We saw the game room, terrace and trophy room and decided it would be worth it. However, we arrived and were told that we were not allowed to go to the Trophy room and the game room because of a private event. So, basically we were gouged $700 to stay at the hotel for 1 night and then not allowed to use the amenities. The room was certainly not worth the $700. The paintings, carpet and ornaments were tacky. So, they basically charged us for a room that should have been at most $260. It’s a 3 star at best since it’s clean. For everything else it felt short. This is not a 4 star, but they will make you pay 4 star price and then say you can't use the amenities.

The Graduate has been our go-to in Charlottesville for many years. Consistently high quality. The room was in great condition. The valet and front desk were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was easy to connect to and reliable. Plentiful dining options nearby.
