Beautiful - decor is amazing. Restored historic boutique hotel. Service was amazing. Highly recommend this super quaint gem. Stayed with family for UV graduation weekend. This historic home has just undergone a wonderful update that brings it to a new level. A few details are still being worked on but this in no way had any impact on our stay....

Our entire family loved the location and individual rooms that this quaint bed and breakfast has. It never is just the rooms that hold the memories special. It is the people who run the establishment, especially where a bed and breakfast is concerned. In this area our entire family hit the jackpot. Bill, Sherrie and their adorable dog Ellie filled...

The building was historical and the inkeepers friendly and helpful. The location was good for we could park and walk everywhere. We stayed in the Library Room. There was no ventilation with one window in the bathroom which held the air conditioner. To be honest...not a fan of stepping out of a shower in a cold bathroom. It was very...

Bill and Cherie were excellent hosts. We appreciated their advice and enjoyed their company at the evening socials with wine and cheese. Varied cooked breakfasts. The building is old with an interesting history and quite adequate for an enjoyable stay. We understand that it is due for a remodelling by the owners at the end of the year which will update...

Stay here for one night. This home was built by James Dinsmore, whom also built Monticello, where Thomas Jefferson lived. Great old house with so much history in it. Room was original. Built back in the 1800's. Breakfast was delightful. Hosts were very friendly and were there make sure your stay was good. Only drawback, it is on a busy...

Bill, Sheri, and Ellie Belly (the dog) were incredible hosts that you could tell really cared about their guests. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, wine and cheese in the afternoon, and cookies baked fresh every evening. Location was perfect. Walking distance of the grounds, the corner, and downtown area. Room was clean and the veranda was magical.

Nice Hosts and dog. Stayed in Jefferson Suite. Very noisy! Right above Main Street on corner with stoplight outside. Heard every truck, motorcycle and car boom box throughout the night. Across from Virginia University Medical Center with regular ambulances/EMS helicopters in and out. Room had white noise box which did not abate the roar. Got earplugs at RiteAid to sleep...

The hosts are wonderful, and the building is certainly not pristine. If you must live in perfection, this is not the place for you. Dinsmore House does bring some personality to the party. The common areas are comfortable, the evening cookies & milk are a treat, and the little dog (forgot her name) makes a fine 3rd host as well....

A lovely little B&B nestled between large modern buildings. There is free parking in the parking garage behind the building. It's in walking distance to the university campus, which is one of the highlights of the town. The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming and they have a lovely little rescue dog who is also very sociable. We arrived just...
