Nestled within the beautiful UVA campus is the Cavalier Inn. Had slight reservations when initially booked through a third party reservation. Per online reviews and pics the place seemed a bit outdated. However once I arrived, I was beyond pleased! Front desk manager Tracy was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast served everyday was beyond the norm of "free breakfast". It got...

Kind of a small bed in a somewhat small room. Nice parking situation and very good breakfast. Nice lobby. Minutes from campus. Didn't really like the old shower head. The place has definitely seen better days in the past. They have an outdoor pool for the summer, but not April. Had to let them know about some holes on the...

Disgusting!!! Unsanitary and a health hazard. I found bodily fluids (a lot) on my bed comforter insert that was covered with a sheet duvet. The same comforter was also dingy black from lack of washing. I called the front desk and got Daniel, the front desk attendant and only employee working in the hotel. He had me come down to...

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and sufficient for a short stay. Very close to arena and college. Morning breakfast included hot and cold options. Easy to find and close to local shops. Walking distance to university.

The hotel was nice...nice staff..close to everything, comfortable beds BUT, you should specify in requests that you don't want next to a room with teenagers unchaperoned....the rooms on each side of us was full of partying kids ALL NIGHT!!!!! You would think a hotel nice as this would have a no partying policy.....ATLEAST after midnight!! Will NEVER stay here AGAIN!!!!!!!

This clearly used to be a no-tell motel kind of place. The plumbing is old, and the walls are thin, but they've updated the security on the doors, the decor is clean and in Cavalier colors, the people were perfectly nice, there is a large parking lot, which is extemely helpful in that town. It's walkable to campus. It's just...

It is an old property, but it is clean and it is comfortable, economical, and literally across the street from the grounds of UVA. The complementary breakfast provides adequate food - hot eggs and a waffle station, but it is far from comprehensive. It is convenient to have a basic breakfast at the hotel to get ready for the day.

Upon arriving at the Cavalier Inn, the staff at the front desk was helpful, providing restaurant ideas and directions for a few photo opportunities. The location is excellent for the price, but the rooms are a little dated. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! So many choices! For a one night stay, the Cavalier Inn is comfortable, quiet and offers all...

The hotel has not gotten good reviews but I found very little to object about. It could use some updating but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower ran hot or cold - it would start hot and suddenly go cold for a few seconds then back to hot and the AC was loud and obnoxious...

This is the worst hotel, by far, that I have ever been. Dirty, noisy and the staff were rude and not helpful at all. There are plenty of hotels in the area, do not stay in this one. There were parties going on from 12.00 AM until 3.00 AM, students screaming, and doing God knows what! Dancing and drinking most...
