Great location, and it is nice that they have 2 pools. We went for a weekend getaway and the hotel made sure to hear our feedback and did the right thing for us. It is a little bit on the expensive side but we did like the location. The bellman Marvin was awesome!
The Omni is in a great location for walking, dining and shopping. Although COVID-19 has closed some stores there are still plenty to enjoy. The rooms are comfortable and the place is sparkling clean. Loved out stay.
As a select guest member prices are advertised as 30% better. This is definitely not the case. Definitely would not pay the extra for a deluxe room nothing deluxe about it especiallythe view looking on to a brick wall rm327 . Ice machine on 3rd floor. Bar service was at best amongst the slowest they had to go search for a corkscrew then one glass had an awful film on top of the wine so had to wait even longer for replacement..... and I was standing at the bar waiting and the only patron in bar. So I paid $536 for two nights with taxes booked direct. Saw two other websites one was Travelocity $450 including taxes and roomsXXL was $340 plus $68 in taxes overal feeling ripped off by whole experience
I booked four rooms for my friend's birthday weekend and we headed down from DC. The Omni Charlottesville went out of their way to make my friend's birthday go off without a hitch. In addition to upgrading myself to a suite since I am a platinum member, they upgraded my friend who's birthday it was as well, they also delivered her 2 pieces of cheesecake. My friends and I were well taken care of, the staff is amazing. The only downside is you can tell this property has seen its best days and looks left over from the 90's or early 2000's. While the hotel may need some updating, the furniture still is clean and scratch free and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny but there is not much that can be done about that. I cannot forget Ken and Carol at the Pointe, they were great, they made my friends and I feel like old friends. Overall, a great stay.…
I decided to stay a night before heading back home to DC, what a good choice of mine. The hotel is right in the heart of the historic downtown and right at the downtown pedestrian Mall. I walked in the hotel and felt very welcome but with very proper social distance. All the staff I encountered were friendly, welcome, and helpful. The hotel? As a "convention" hotel, one can expect the grand look and convenient and with lots of convenient parking. The best part of my stay was to be able to walk to bars and restaurants at downtown mall and ran back to my hotel if I wanted to get away or to use the bathroom. The hotel atrium is so much fun and relax. The room is sparkling clean with lots of electrical outlets. I will stay again if going back. The price is a little steep but worth it.…
