This hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to and from Charlottesville airport. The double-bed guest-room was very nice, with a sliding door that opened up to a slight stoop (very nice this time of year to leave it open and feel the cool, fall breeze). The beds were comfortable, with an ample amount, and variety, of firm and soft pillows. There... More

My Mom and I stayed here for one night because I had an appointment at UVA Medical Center. I chose this for the close proximity. When we checked in, the lady was really nice and we were quickly checked in. About three hours later, I received a call in the room. When I answered, nobody was there. I immediately received... Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I will review your concern regarding someone calling your room. Certainly a call like that should not be coming from the Front Desk. We are also looking at a solution for the noise from doors closing. We hope you will return to give us another try. More

As soon as we put on the AC, there was a horrible smell. My wife coughed all night and now is sick. It was late and we were tired, so we didn't change the room. Besides, I doubt another was available. In any event, the AC probably was system wide and would have been just as bad elsewhere in the... More

I arrived at 1 a.m. Rachel at the front desk was most helpful, professional and quick to give me a room at a great rate that was better than what I found on the internet. The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Nice to have a small microwave, coffee maker and mini-refrigerator. Room coffee was tasty. Complimentary breakfast was... More

Took an impromptu trip to Charlottesville. Woke up in the morning and decided to drive west. Once we hit Charlottesville we stopped. After not having luck finding a place to stay we ended up at Holiday Inn. I will say, the rate at 157$ plus taxes is a bit steep for this hotel. The good: centrally located, surrounded by things... We stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel University Area for a weekend. When we arrived we found out they were having a convention called OmegaCon. It is a gaming convention. We found the entire lobby and hallways full of vendors. Our room was on the ground floor. From the time we checked in there was nonstop foot traffic in our... More

Thanks for your feedback. I am very sorry for your experience. While we usually do a very good job balancing conference activities and leisure guests. We did not sufficiently anticipate the size and hours of the conference's casual (non-meeting) activities. We will ensure to anticipate these activities and their impact on our valued hotel guests more accurately. We hope you... More

Rooms are okay, just well-used and in need of a refresh. They are in the process of renovating the rooms, but it's incomplete as of this writing. Free WiFi, but no free breakfast. Reasonable value if you don't set your expectations too high.

Stayed for one night. All fine apart from noise from AC system and noisy neighbour at 2 a.m. There was a door linking the two rooms and it didn't block out much of the sound.
