Stopped here for the evening while driving from the east. It was over $300 a night and the desk clerk stated there may be cheaper options heading west, but it was a Saturday night, and we decided to just stay for the evening. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable and we were able to get some rest before heading out Sunday morning. The guests in the neighboring room had a dog barking quite a bit and you could hear talking, so if a light sleeper this room may not be for you. I think it was 504. Would stay here again for a lower price!

Bed was comfortable BUT found only 1 soap in bathroom usually have 2, one for hands and one for shower, but not here. Also used the coffee pot in room and pod was not replaced next day. Only 1 creamer and 1 sugar in packet. Seems like things were skimped. Plus key card hardly worked. Had to go to desk a few times in a row because it would not work. Finally fixed it and still had to try it 4 times.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We like it when we visit Charlottesville because of the location. It's just a few minutes from downtown as well as many of the wineries. The hotel itself is fine. Nothing fantastic, but the rooms are clean and the staff is nice.

The staff was very welcoming. We paid for the breakfast as part of our package and that was wonderful. The hotel has a restaurant and is also very close to a number of local restaurants. It was very close to Monticello and made getting there simple.

Signs for masks, where to stand, and safe use of elevators were clearly visible, but so few people bothered with them, we were very uncomfortable. I dreaded every time we had to walk through the lobby as there was always someone either not wearing a mask, or they had it pulled down. Even the cashier pulled down his mask when talking so that we could understand him better, though he was also behind a plexiglass partition. Guests did stand on marked circles 6 feet apart, but ignored signs asking them not to share elevators. The room looked clean, but barring the extra reassurances seen in other hotels, we wiped everything down with our own disinfecting wipes.

What a terrible experience! We stayed at this awful hotel back in December right before we did a cross country move for my husbands job. We check in and the agent was not personable or pleasant at all. We get our room.... the hallway had wires hanging and construction material all over the place. We had to step over paint rollers and paint cans. We get into our room. What a dump! Finger prints on the mirror. Bed was collapsed in the middle. We said “whatever it’s for 2 nights”. Next morning we are woken up at 7am to the room shaking. I call the desk and they say there is nothing they can do and construction usually starts at 8am. Well it didn’t. That night there were construction workers screaming in the hallways. Acting drunk and wild. Our last morning was the worst! We were woken up again to drilling, hammering and loud screaming. So clearly we weren’t sleeping in and decided to just leave. I get to the desk to check out and the total is $60 more than when I checked in. I come to find out that they charged us $20 plus tax a night for my husbands ptsd service animal. I asked the agent to remove it and he told me in front of the entire lobby “ this hotel does not recognize this form of service animal. That only dogs that service for a physical disability are allowed with no fee” how embarrassing is it to explain to a lobby of strangers that my husband was given an animal after his deployments due to ptsd! Extremely! I was mortified and the agent just said “oh nice I was in the navy”. Wow thank you for being a fellow servicemen and still belittling us.

I have asked since December 2019 to be contacted. NOTHING.

I’ve worked in hotels for over 10 years. I’d be on the phone immediately with a guest if this ever happened.

I am so glad you fixed up this hotel cosmetically but if you don’t shape up your employees this hotel will be in for a lot more 1 star reviews.

My husband I stayed here for 1 night before heading to Shenandoah National Park. Check in was easy and the lady at check in was very pleasant, even advising me where I could buy a US hair dryer, coat hangers and plasters.. The room itself was fine and the shower was very good. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows and all was clean enough. That is where the positives end. The bar was closed due to a private event. We decided to go out for dinner just in case the restaurant was closed too! Now to the night's sleep ( or, rather, lack of it!). The hotel was rather too close to the I-64 motorway, but unfortunately the "double glazing" was worse than useless, which meant that we could hear the noise of every vehicle, particularly freight traffic, on the I-64. Needless to say, I honestly did not get a wink of sleep. Also, be aware, even though this is a Holiday Inn, you have to order what you want for breakfast by midnight the night before! Unfortunately, we didn't do so. So, no sleep and no breakfast! We left the hotel and drove straight to Wegman's, the supermarket, to get some fruit for breakfast in our car! Very disappointed.

I want to give a special thanks to the staff of the hotel! On the night of march 22 2020, my parents stayed at this hotel after a long ride fom Florida. In the morning after, they left too rapidly leaving passeport, chemiotherapy meds and $ 130 canadian dollars behind them at the hotel. When they where in New York state, they saw that they forgot those important things so it was too late to turn back. When they arrived at home, my father call the hotel to explain the problem and the man who answered said that they will turn back the things by delivery services. They did what they said and they only took the money for the delivery services and shipped the rest to my father!

For the rest everything was perfect, a good price-quality for a good night sleep with confort and cleanliness!

I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I entered the hotel. Getting to my room was a breeze. The hotel is going through some renovations at this time so there is a bit of the construction smell to the hotel. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. What made the hotel extra special was their bartender, Mark. He was such a delight. A fellow colleague of mine also spoke at the conference I was at and we both stayed in the hotel. Mark and us had a lot of laughs and and shared stories while sitting at the bar both evenings. The restaurant had great food. I’m very particular about steaks and their sirloin was perfection. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a very friendly retired Air Force veteran who made my morning a bit more cheery. If I ever need a place to stay in Charlottesville again, I will be staying there.

I ordered a room with an accessibility feature, when I arrived the room did not have the feature. I quickly returned the room keys, and they are now saying that because I "stayed" at the hotel I am unable to receive a refund. Really sad Valentines day. I am currently contacting my card company to get a refund, but I really, really shouldn't have to go through this. Buyer beware.
