Excellent service, delicious meals, good location for seeing wine country, Shenandoah, and Charlottesville, this was a great winter getaway spot! We were even pleasantly surprised by a fireplace in the room! All in all, we will be coming back.
Front desk staff was really nice. The furniture/decorations in the room are pretty plain and outdated. The room wasn’t very clean-found strand hairs on the toilet and shower. Overall it was a pretty nice resort and I hope to go back when the spa opens.
We were in Charlottesville to visit a wedding venue and also to check out The Boars Head Inn as a potential site for rehearsal dinner and guest room block. We were very impressed with the property, staff and dining options. We visited during Covid restrictions and the facility was very clean and we felt very safe. The checkin was done at a socially distant station and all staff and guests were courteous and mindful of the restrictions.
Enjoyed the property - it has great walking trails especially for the winter months. It is also a very dog friendly area to visit. They have great food - the Jam & Ham from room service was delicious. You are also close to the Walking Mall in Charlottesville for shopping and exploring.
Amazing experience would recommend and definitely plan to come back. This was an overall very pleasant stay. The room was amazing and we really enjoyed the Christmas decorations during the holiday season
