Jeez who knew? I stayed at this hotel by chance the first time and fell in love with the location. The hotel itself though was surprisingly shabby for a 5 star location. That however has changed and the resort has been renovated very nicely along...More
Private bay beach is relaxing and private. Atmosphere is comfortable; serene. This is where I discovered my chronic illness. They will not cook crabs you catch. Nobody will. Dogs and babies so welcome.
I reviewed Sunset Beach Resort last year. There were a number of improvements we noted in the hotel. It seemed cleaner and had new linens. No improvements though at the JackSpot restaurant. I ordered wine but they could not find the corkscrew (i swear this...More

Yes. We brought our cat,no problem. We didn't keep our cat in carrier in room. Just be sure to notify hotel when making reservation that you are bringing kitty. They will give you a pet friendly room and there will be an extra charge. Also, leave "no maid svc needed" so no one lets kitty out. We travel with our cat and use a travel litter box that we dispose of after trip. Our cat is a great traveler. It feels most comfortable in carrier when we are driving.
