This is an ashram, a spiritual retreat, a place of contemplation and serenity. It is also a place of amazingly good food, friendly people, relaxation, classes, nature, and comfortable accommodations. The prices are low and highly reasonable. They include meals, classes and programs. Rooms are extra, but are also reasonable, if not actually low. Did I mention the food? We... More

The people are awesome and calm, the food fantastic, organic and locally grown, excellent yoga and meditation classes and workshops of all kinds. Really a gem. I originally went for a Yoga Teacher Training and stayed for FIVE months so that I could stay as a farmer. Best time ever.

My husband surprised me with a long weekend stay at the Ashram and I made the mistake of reading Yelp reviews prior to our stay which to be honest, almost made me not want to go. Needless to say, I was a bit skeptical but went forward with our visit and kept an open mind. I was pleased to find... More

Thanks for your kind feedback. Regarding the 6 am Hatha Yoga classes, we are looking into adding a mid-morning option to our weekend schedule. More

I stayed at the Yoga Ashram, and really loved the peace and tranquility. They have very healthy vegetarian food, which also tastes good. I did yoga everyday, and took long walks on the beautiful grounds. They have excellent programs for meditation, yoga, weight loss, etc. I enjoyed my visit.

Leave your troubles behind and relax. We had a great time during the Welcome weekend, You must be open minded and willing to accept the different expectations of the Ashram. I was very impressed by all the people who worked there, very knowledgeable about the programs and defining them. Everyone was helpful. We stayed in the lotus building, which was... More

We went to Yogaville for a workshop which was worth the expense, and the surrounding nature is serene, but I found the dormitory accommodations to be poorly maintained for the price charged. Worn paint and carpet, poor lighting, old pillows, outdated bathrooms and thin walls being among the issues. The food choices were more limited than the those offered at... More

This is a must visit serene place. The Ashram, the LOTUS temple and there's another main temple of Nataraj. My friend drove me around the place. First, I did not expect what was coming up when we were trying to go up and then suddenly the LOTUS shrine throws up.

I stayed in yogaville for 1 week, and completed 2 different programs. 1 program: Dao Flow Yoga, and a second about building your Sadhana meditation and yoga practice. I stayed in a tent site. Every tent site has a wooden deck platform, and is 20-50 feet away from another tent site. The bath house is the nicest camping bathhouse I've... More

Know first of all that this ashram is a spiritual community, not a yoga school. Yes, you can take yoga and meditation classes (beginners and more advanced), and the three teachers I had during the weekend were all great. But the 200 or so people who live at Yogaville are devoted followers of the late Sri Swami Satchidananda. You will... More

I was excited to check this place out. I am a long time yoga student and meditator. The place has so many rules it is hard to socialize with others and find a place of comfort. The private rooms are somewhat comfortable. The mosquitos and spiders in the rooms were alarming. and the bathrooms could use an upgrade or remodel.
