Stayed for Memorial Day weekend. RV spots are nice and the water pressure was awesome. Very clean and neat. My husband said the restrooms were spotless. Staff was helpful and provided lots of info. We rented UTV there onsite. We rode the Pocahontas trail day 1 and for novice riders in was an awesome experience. The utv (though pricey) rental was very nice. Brand new. Note: we are in our 50s and very careful people, don't damage the equipment or you forfeit the insurance deposit of $1500. Day 2 weather was awful but we braved anyway. We tried the spearhead trail, since it was closer and recommended. Not a good experience at all. Would not recommend in bad weather. Trails were very narrow and not well marked or maintained compared to Pocahontas. (even if it wasn't muddy and raining) Would not recommend Spearhead to families or older people. If you want to relax and ride stay on the other trails in the Hatfield and Mccoy trail system. Not a lot of dining or other entertainment near, but we knew that. We cooked at our RV and did enjoy the Old Fashioned soda shop in Bramwell as well as the Ole No. 3 restaurant, both were good. Overall a good experience. Read the rules and follow them. (rangers do write tickets, saw a lot of that)…

camp grounds was great the atv trails was not great lot of them was not marked there was trails not on map hatfeild mcoy trails are much better marked the coal mine tour was very interesting to bad the resterant that is next to the tour was not open even tho the borsure said it was they need to do more work to get tourst in there other wise it wasnt to bad

The cabins were very clean and just enough space. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were clean, and it was very peaceful. The riding trails were rough and lots of mud and also smooth and great views. A little bit of both. we will be back. .

We rented 3 NEW Polaris Razor's....FANTASTIC!! Great service from the Folks at Trailhead. Everything went really well. Check in was super easy, and they had us ready to hit the trails ASAP. The accommodations were clean and just enough for a weekend away. The only bad thing was deluxe cabin number one shower pressure was very low. Having the ability to rent equipment right on site was a park.

We had a great time staying at Trailhead ATV resort! The campground is very well kept with clean bathrooms and nice laundry facilities. The ATV rentals were so much fun with tons of trails from easy to more challenging. They are great for anyone wanting to take a casual ride or those who are up for more of an adventure. The equipment was all clean, well maintained, and in good condition. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

Excellent cabin & facility. Awesome view of the mountains. We’ll kept facility with deers roaming around. Their Polaris Razor rental was very good with a variety of well maintained & powerful ATVs. Great town of Pocahontas, VA & their Mine Museum along with the neighboring historic town of Bramwell, WVA. Highly recommended.

My brother ran over a rock and got a flat tire and they immediately build him $250. My brother-in-law then hit a rut wrong and laid over his UTV. They soon proceeded to bill him $1,500 and said that they were going to bill him 3, if he didn't have the insurance. It's a good time as long as you're willing to fork out a couple grand.

Great place to stay, very clean and nice staff. Has a store with food and gas across the street and restaurants right down the rd. You can choose Spearhead trails in Va or HFM in Wv, up to you on where you want to ride

My husband and I along with friends decided to go to West Virginia after the turkey day celebration. We come to Trailhead Resort about 4 times a year. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Facilities are extremely clean especially the bath houses. We had some problems with our water freezing and the staff was quick to help at 8:00 on a Saturday night. Trailhead Resort is conveniently located to the trails. Always a great time.
