I made a last minute Labor Day weekend reservation and was so surprised by how wonderful it was! It has been under new management as of last November and the family who runs it now is just lovely. They made us feel at home and were so nice! The campground was clean, they had live music in Saturday and from...

Great small campground along the riverfront. You can arrange a shuttle with them to drop you off up the river and float down to your campsite. Recommend bringing your own tube as they run our early in the day. Only downside, the bathrooms are dirty- they seem to try to keep up with them but don't plan to use them...

We've been here 3 times over the past 2 years. The price is good, location in relation to DC area is good as well. If you book in advance you can get good river front spots. Staff has always been pleasant. We've stayed closer to the main building where there are about 7(I think) shared bathrooms. Because of people's lack...

Very crowded. Dirty bathrooms. Lots of parties going on. I was afraid to let my kids ride their bikes around because there were so many big trucks coming and going. It was also very loud. Our site didn't have a picnic table -- it had been stolen by a group camping nearby.

Ladies in office very friendly. Came for family/ friend visit of 6 adults 3 kids so we could do the yearly 11 mile canoe trip at front royal canoe co. Riverfront sites were booked. We were across from portapots on 2 sites which are busy all day/night w no cleaning. Constant slamming of port a pot door 😒 This place...

Plus: Campground is right on the river. When tubing, you get dropped off upriver, then float back down to the campground. And you can go out into the river for a dip or to cool off. Staff is friendly, Christie, the owner is really nice as well as her family members that help out. The small store has a few...

Great location but this seems to be more of a campground for large parties and large family gatherings. Some of the campsites had anywhere from 5-10 cars parked in them. With all those cars coming and going, I really wasn't comfortable allowing the kids to ride their bikes. I also didn't like the fact that the public access to the...

Disappointing, as this campsite is RIGHT next to the Shenandoah with beautiful mountain and river views. After a full day on the water, we came back to find a full blown party going on at the campground -- generators, a speaker system, etc. Quiet hours were completely ignored. Music was blasted well into the night and fireworks were shot off...

We stayed one night to go on the canopy tour in Shenandoah Park. Everyone was sooooo friendly and helpful!! We went kayaking right from the campground, family run business and they offered canoe, tube or kayak wonderful experience! !

Sits along the Shenandoah river, the staff is really friendly and accommodating to our preferred sites. The campground is always great to visit. Wether we are sitting by the fire, sitting in the river sipping on drinks, fishing or enjoying nature, this campground never fails to amaze. We love coming here to camp.
