Ellen and John Everett, the owners, have a tag line which reads, "come as strangers, leave as friends." This is most certainly true! They both made us feel so at home in their comfortable country home. John, a gregarious country Renaissance man, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. And Ellen, John's "boss" was a gracious hostess.... More

Late in giving our review as I was laid off from work shortly after our stay, but as we finally get back on track we wish to convey that our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. We're more used to the more modern B&B culture where we find more & more the rooms are externally accessed so this was a... More

So, it was a strange time for a weekend getaway, but for a working couple with a toddler & rare weekends off...it just worked out that we had some free time on Christmas day. Ellen & John we're most hospitable, down to earth & very accommodating. Vanquility was cozy, comfortable & a perfect getaway for what we wanted. Had a... More

One of the best bed and breakfast places we have ever stayed in. It has been going for 14years so they are doing things right. Everything is clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable. You can appreciate the silence and tranquility after the days activity. The views of sunset and sunrise while having your breakfast is great. The owners, Ellen... More

We have frequented many B&B's throughout the states. Vanquility Acres Inn B&B rates top in our travels. Ellen and John (innkeepers) have a beautifully kept, spacious home with many rooms that are decorated to a particular theme. We stayed in a room full of stainglass called the Garden room. Every detail is made for cleanliness and for care in accommodations.... More

John and Ellen were very accommodating. Their B&B is well kept and the breakfasts were beyond expectations. Our stay was from September 24 - 28 and we didn't have any repeat of a breakfast. Ellen prepares the breakfasts and includes home prepared and locally prepared jams and spreads. They have goats that provide entertainment. It's very close to the National... More

Loved our stay with Ellen and John. Our first time in a B&B and we will do it again. Two girls with our color book and supplies! Great room, plenty of light and beautiful view even on the rainy day. The food was wonderful, the rooms were large, clean, and quiet. The goats are worth the stay!

Quiet getaway. Very clean. Ellen & John were friendly and helpful with telling us about the area. Would go back. Next time we will get a room with kitchen. Brooke loves to cook. Bedford I a a quiet little town to spend time wandering around. Also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

One night lodging on a mini vacation to the Blue Ridge Parkway. A lovely room with a breathtaking view and a hostess who goes out of her way to accommodate her guests. Ask for the garden suite with the sitting room. It's worth the extra few dollars. I feel in love with the mountain view. My spouse feel in love... More
