We last minute had to find last minute place to stay for a weekend wedding. Thankfully I came across Vanquility Acres and couldn’t have been happier! Great hospitality and such a home like feel to the place, along we amazing banana bread for breakfast. If we are ever in the area again I will definitely stay again!!

Had heard great things about this place from my sister, and was very pleased to hear that this was the place picked by the family of the groom for all of us to stay. Beds were comfy, everything you could need in the kitchen to cook was available (besides food but had major condiments, sugar etc). We had a large group of people and Ellen made it work so that we could all stay together! The house was very clean and organized. Everything was super easy to find. They brought us wood each day to make fires outside in the patio area at night. There is plenty of outside seating where you can gather by the fire to visit. Would have loved to have a dip in the pool - which looked very inviting, but it was just too chilly for that! The owners were friendly and accommodating. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, country-side setting at the foot of the Blue Ridge Parkway with all the amenities- including freshly baked sweet bread for breakfast left on our table! Will defintely stay again sometime! Thanks again to the Everett's!

We recently returned after a wonderful week at Vanquility Acres Inn. This was our first trip with our toddler, and it was perfect. John and Ellen are the most gracious hosts -- from making the pool available to us anytime to preparing an outdoor fire for us each evening, they made the vacation perfect. Our daughter loved their goats, chickens and ducks--what a treat for her to feed them. The cottage had everything we needed and was extremely clean. John and Ellen have put so much effort into making their cottages the perfect getaway for their guests. We can't wait to come back.

Our family of 4 experienced a delightful stay at Vanquility Acres. It proved to be the perfect get-a-way before moving our daughter to Lynchburg for her next semester at college. John and Ellen went above and beyond as we arrived at 3:00 in the morning — John greeted us with a smile, helped carry our bags and graciously let us in to our suite. Waiting for us was a delicious loaf of Ellen’s zucchini bread, which we eagerly devoured. Clean suite, comfy beds, refreshing pool, relaxing evening at the fire bowl, gorgeous views of the mountains, lovely property, kind conversation, topped with a little adventure courtesy of the goats. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to visit again:)

We are a family of four and have been staying at Vanquility for 17 years. Ellen and John are such wonderful folks - we enjoy their company as much as we enjoy the stay! We stayed in the cottage this time and appreciated the space, the great views and the pool - with an 18 and 21 year old all of these were important. We spent a day at Smith Mtn Lake, went to the Emerson Creek Pottery and also hiked Sharp Top and wrapped it up with time at the pool! The weekend at Vanquility was perfect!
