....but over an hour away. That said, the drive was scenic and we enjoyed the fall colors. Old Rag was a challenge we won't forget, the bouldering hand over hand as described, views from the top 360 degrees. Pack a lunch and allow a full day. Don't stay in # 61, our assigned time share certificate unit. It's dingy, outdated,... More

We rented the Pedestal unit - it was so spacious. There we 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, the master one had Jacuzzi. The bedding was nice and the beds were comfortable. There was a loft with 2 twin beds which was very private visually (you could not see at all in it, but it had no door), and had... More

We were very impressed with the accomodations. Master bedroom has a nice size jacuzi tub and the shower converts to a steam room. Loved the fireplace. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and attractive. Indoor pool was a great place to unwind after an active day. The staff were fabulous and so very helpful. There is a great deal to see... More

We had a nice week at this resort. The golf course was in perfect condition, and we enjoyed our meals/cocktails/camaraderie at the Copper Kettle at Bryce. We visited many of the small towns nearby and had an amazing experience at the New Market Battlefield-a must for anyone interested in the Civil War.

We took friends from Wilmington, NC up to Basye, VA for a week's break from the hot and humid low lands near Carolina Beach, NC. Drive was about 6-7 hrs. but the scenery was enjoyable, away from the larger cities of northern NC and south-central VA. We found the weather to be fine, a little rainy for almost two days,... More

We did exchange through our time share. We needed to upgrade to a 3 bdrm and they did it at no additional cost to us. Unit was 3 bdrm, very clean and comfortable. Updated kitchen, fresh paint. Master bathroom needs new cabinets but otherwise it was great. Linens were new. Not a lot to do but wineries were close by.... More

Searched high & low for accommodations suitable for family with two 85 year olds who love to travel & see the leaf change! These 3 story (split levels) were the only 2 bedroom w/2 twins for under $200 per night! The accommodations were great but needed night lights for bathroom & bedrooms as getting up in middle of night in... More

We visited Shenandoah Valley and stayed at the Chalet High Resort Unit #14 at the end of August 2016. The 3 bedroom condo was a little outdated but clean, comfortable, and on the golf course. The pool was closed for renovations and the check-in office was a bit down the road. You had to drive to the office to get... More

Our unit #68 was a little outdated, but very clean and spacious. We knew that the indoor pool was closed ( we were informed of this) but disappointed that there was not an outdoor pool. We were given a pass to Lake Laurel for our week stay. The lake had water activities that our grandchildren ages 17 & 9, enjoyed.... More

We were in chalet 28. Big place, clean towels and sheets. Only while having a shower and trying to have a bath we discovered that hot water running from faucets was brown and full of filth. Five calls to reception didn't solve the problem and nobody came to check. Look at photos.

Water was tested by health dept and was found to ok. We have pex lines and therefore it could not be rust. The local water dept reported repairing a leak up the line several days ahead of stay and it was more than likely some dirt that had gotten into lline. Our staff did respond and offered to move guest... More
