We were so satisfied with our trip to Vermont this past week for Thanksgiving! It's a 4.5 hours drive from New York city but it was worth it! From the moment we arrived, Mitch greeted us with smile and introduce us to some houserules and amenities. He even gave us printout of nearby restaurants and activities which are super helpful....

Stayed there with family over Christmas. Breakfast was fair and obvious a bother because it was Christmas and no one wanted to work. Beds, towels and room was never touched the entire time we stayed. We had to find towels. One night we had no hot water for showers after snowboarding all day. Mitch had to be persuaded to call a...

Yes. After more than 3 hours working on the problem as mentioned above, we did manage to fix a boiler that unfortunately - and incredibly - broke down on Christmas Eve. For more than 15 years we have made guest satisfaction our highest priority. Most reviews reflect this. Still it is difficult to read a personal attack in a public...

My boyfriend and I plus our 1 year old German Shorthair spent the weekend in Vermont for a huge spartan race, our pup LOVES the outdoors and we were saddened at the thought of leaving her home or in a kennel. I searched high and low and found Mitch and the wonderful Paw House Inn! Upon arrival, Mitch greeted us...

First sorry this review is so late in coming. We went in May of 2016. Me ,my wife and our 4 month old puppy. We had only had the dog for 2 months and he was still kinda skittish about a lot of things. Then we got to the paw house. The dog loved from the minute he got out...

Our visit to The Paw House Inn ranks tied for first in all the places we have visited around the world for the past 39 years! What made it so special and so memorable? Mitch and Jenn! They are exquisite hosts who enjoy people, dogs, and life. They were very welcoming and warm and helped make our stay very relaxing...

The sign as you enter says dogs welcome and people tolerated. That is a good description. While our host was very friendly the accommodations, food, and cleanliness missed on all counts. But that's probably not why you are staying there...right? Our dogs could not have been more welcomed, from inside the house to the safe kennels, built to let people...

It is true! We love dogs! And will go to any length to make them comfortable. But we also love our human guests and will go to pretty much any length to address all concerns. Most often we are recognized as among the cleanest hotels and our breakfasts get excellent reviews. Unfortunately this guest did not have the type of...

This was our 6th year visiting the Paw House with our dogs. Once again we were not disappointed. We stay in Bark Avenue which is the largest room in the inn. We love having the extra space with the sitting room and large deck overlooking the grounds. Mitch and Jenn are awesome hosts. And Mitch made us the best breakfasts...

If you are a dog owner who wishes you can do more activities with your dog(s) then you need to visit the Paw House Inn and Vermont in general. The experience of being able to do so much with our dogs, hiking, fishing, swimming and even out to dinner with our dogs made the experience amazing. Mitch and his family...

My husband and I visited with our pug, Kitt. Despite less than ideal weather (very hot with thunderstorms), we had a wonderful time! Mitch, the host, was very welcoming and gave us good tips and great breakfasts. His dog, Stanley, was also great, and his son, Kyle, was a charmer. Kitt really enjoyed playing with other dogs in the fenced...

This was our first vacation with our dog and we had a great time!!!! Mitch had great dog friendly suggestions so we got to spend the whole vacation with our dog! We played in the dog park at the inn, went hiking and had dinners with our furry guy by our side! Breakfast was great! Best omelette I ever had!...
