My wife arrived there mid-week following the 4th of July. The room we had was the best that they had and it was very nice with a king size bed, etc. No complaints about the room. And no complaints about the breakfast - that was highlight of the trip. We had to get dressed and drive 10 miles to a small nearby town to get lunch and/or dinner. They had a residential type jacuzzi which didn't work. They had a finnish sauna. That wasn't operational either. We wandered down to the stream and found two broken beach chairs to sit on. Pondside was rather "buggy". There were very few other guests. There really was nothing to do except watch television. Having experienced Cypress Cove in Florida, this was truly a disappointment, especially when I was paying over $200 per night.

My wife and I love the entire experience of Abbot's Glenn.... ..The prepared food is fantastic!!!! (I'm an eater!!)...Food is served as a group setting and leads itsself to fun conversation! You may arrive as strangers but the atmosphere is so friendly you will leave as friends!

As first timers, we felt very comfortable there. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. Staff was friendly and helpful. No pressure just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy ourselves. Tito the campground was very sweet and well behaved!

After reading so many glowing reviews (I mean when do you ever find a place this highly rated and not super pricey?) the bar was set pretty high and our expectations were still exceeded. This is a special place. Amy, Lindy and their team do an incredible job. The whole team is comprised of extraordinary people and they too reflect the beauty of this place. This was our first (and not last for sure) experience with a clothing optional resort. We felt comfortable, safe and free the whole time. There were other first timers there who expressed similar comfort from all of the guests and hosts. There were a variety of ages and body types and backgrounds represented and everyone was welcomed and appreciated. At meals people were clothed, but day and night there was no pressure to disrobe though most were without clothing. So many great parts of the experience. The grounds have so many nice places to lounge and read. The river/beach was in particular a great place for that. The food was excellent. My wife raved about Yoga. We golfed nude. The Meadow House suite had air conditioning (though usually Vermont in the summer you can open the windows and cool the room nicely, I think this is the only unit with AC) and a very comfortable bed, and fridge. Having shared bathrooms and showers were never an issue. The Sugarshack on a Saturday night was a FUN party. I know you're thinking really will I want to dance naked or play pool with a bunch of people until the wee hours? You will. It was SO fun. Met some other couples here that we're already texting about when to go back. Nearby Wilmington is a great place to get off property for food or shopping. Next time we'll probably bring our own beach towels. Towels are provided but since you're usually using them to sit on we just would have preferred our own. Also, a light robe or long button shirt would help as an accessory or worth bringing to wear as your only item of clothing (though they give great robes to use, they're the heavy nice terrycloth variety.) Book a stay here. It's SO worth it.

I've lived within a few miles of Abbott's Glen for three years but never visited until today. A friend and I decided to go there for a day trip. Neither of us had ever been to any naturist locations before, so naturally we were a little nervous about what to expect. We quickly learned we had absolutely no reason to be nervous! Check in was a breeze. Tim at the front desk took us on a brief tour before Lindy, one of the owners, showed us a few additional buildings. There was no pressure to get fully naked, which my friend and I appreciated as first timers. Example: we did the yoga class in the morning where some attendants were fully clothed, others were nude, and some were in between. All of the staff and guests we met were super nice and very respectful. My friend and I had the best time floating around in the pond, swimming in the river by the "Vermont Beach," walking through the woods, and just lounging in the sun. We were so at ease when we left! I've heard meals at the inn are outstanding, and the accommodations look clean and quaint. I'm excited to come back for yoga and another visit soon (perhaps with dinner), and to try the hot tub and sauna when the weather gets colder.
