A great little quaint place at the bottom of Mount Snow. It’s the closest Inn to the mountain. The tram stops right behind the Inn for the 2 minute ride to slopes. Now let’s be clear this is a aged Inn that’s been around a long time. It’s clean but very antique like. If your looking for the Marriott this is not the place for you but if your looking for nice caretakers, clean rooms, and the best access to the slope this is it.
Just accolades for the Inn. Very hospitable and accommodating. To the contrary of the EmilyH's tripadvisor opinion. Las, note that the Ritz hotel (Marriott) brand has been disintegrating for quite some time. gent with son hooligans, not England.
My son and I stayed the night to ski Mt. Snow. We both enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable with a good view of the mountain. Everything was easy and the proprietors were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was self-serve (which I prefer) continental, with plenty of cereals yoghurts, good quality bagels (not the usual generic store type), oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, etc., ...and hot chocolate (which was enough to make it a success with my son). Great value and perfect for our short ski trip. I will definitely come back for our next ski trip here.
Aside from the very strange check-in process, the beds are NOT sleep-able - a sleeping bag would have been better! No extra blankets or pillows (even in January). The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything that is going on in your neighbors rooms. The bright light outside our room's window illuminated our room the entire night. There are no TV's in your rooms, so forget about being snowed in. The room doors are similar to a bedroom door, only 1 lock on the handle, no deadbolt or chain inside so it did not feel secure either. The house is also very very old, which means it is loud and creaky at night - especially when the heat is on in the winter. This typically is not an issue for me, but if you are already struggling to sleep then it will get under your skin even more. We did not sleep a wink all night, literally have never had such a bad experience. We ended up turning around and driving the 5 hours home as soon as the sun came up. Was not issued a refund for the days we did not stay, the manager's explanation is that it was, "not their fault." I did not bother pushing it any further as the "manager" is not concerned with customer service or reputation. A HUGE waste of money and time. I wish I could just forget about this horrible experience. Very disappointing for a holiday weekend we were looking forward to. SAVE YOURSELF A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and don't bother with this dump.…
This is the only place I stay when skiing Mount Snow. Others have already elaborated on how wonderful it is so I will just reiterate: clean, comfy, inviting, perfect skiers’ breakfast, and fabulous location! Owners Sharon and Bill take excellent care of their guests to ensure every stay is a positive experience. Will return soon!
