My son and I stayed the night to ski Mt. Snow. We both enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable with a good view of the mountain. Everything was easy and the proprietors were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was self-serve (which I prefer) continental, with plenty of cereals yoghurts, good quality bagels (not the usual generic store type), oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, etc., ...and hot chocolate (which was enough to make it a success with my son). Great value and perfect for our short ski trip. I will definitely come back for our next ski trip here.

Location: Excellent for skiing at Mt. Snow. Route 100 between the North and South access roads. Can see the mountain from the rear of the Inn. Rear exit from the parking lot behind the Inn leads to back road which connects to the access roads. Five minutes (if that) to the parking lot of the mountain.

Accommodations: room (Garden Room #3) very spacious and bright and cheery. Queen size bed. Decent mattress. Good size en suite bath with more than enough fluffy towels. Small personal TV (although huge screen TV in common lounge area). All very clean.

Breakfast: continental, leaving a bit to be desired, but sufficient quantity. Consisted almost exclusively of carbs: white and wheat bread, variety of bagels, toaster waffles, store-bought, individually-wrapped muffins, cold cereal in individual boxes, oatmeal pouches (just add hot water); yogurt, three juices, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk. Monday morning there were hard boiled eggs. Tuesday morning, no eggs. When we asked about the eggs, the inn keeper said his order didn't arrive until Thursday. What? Someone can't go to the local market for a few dozen eggs? Wednesday morning, some bananas showed up. No fresh fruit before then. So breakfast was a mixed bag. Adequate for our needs, though.

Summary: if you aren't looking for a hot, cooked to order gourmet breakfast, definitely lodging to consider. In fact, of the three places we've stayed in West Dover over the past three years, this is the one to which we would return.

This is the only place I stay when skiing Mount Snow. Others have already elaborated on how wonderful it is so I will just reiterate: clean, comfy, inviting, perfect skiers’ breakfast, and fabulous location! Owners Sharon and Bill take excellent care of their guests to ensure every stay is a positive experience. Will return soon!

This place really is just falling apart and if not for the location would probably have shut down by now. The most concerning thing I noticed was the fire escape is blocked by a giant mound of ice at the bottom of the stairs. Made me start thinking about what else is wrong with the building that I didn't see - wiring/fire hazard, mold etc. It's also super loud (you can hear your neighbor's pee) and there's one router in the whole place so no wifi in the rooms.

A great little quaint place at the bottom of Mount Snow. It’s the closest Inn to the mountain. The tram stops right behind the Inn for the 2 minute ride to slopes. Now let’s be clear this is a aged Inn that’s been around a long time. It’s clean but very antique like. If your looking for the Marriott this is not the place for you but if your looking for nice caretakers, clean rooms, and the best access to the slope this is it.

I booked this room be because it looked like a deal. Then I find out there is no hot tub-- which most ski inns have. Worse, my room has tiny shower stall and no bathtub. The manager says, all our rooms with "jetted tubs" are booked for the evening. Also, the smallest hotel TV i have ever seen.

So it took us a few days to decide where we were going to go and what we were going to see. We had originally decided to stay in Killington and then changed our plans last minute to go to Mount Snow in West Dover, VT. When we booked our room at the Inn, we were a little hesitant at first since the area wasnt too familiar with us and we didnt receive any prior opinion. Regardless we booked and were on our way. As soon as we got to the Inn, we noticed that it was probably the only place that actually had decorations around the place for the holiday season. The other inns we passed by didnt have much decor and was pretty plain from the outside. Once we got in, we felt like we were right at home. The place was decorated really nicely and everything seemed like it had some of history with it. We went downstairs to be greeted by Glenda who is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. She told us where we were going to stay and then gave us gifts which Im not going to reveal :] We went up to our room, which was very nice and things couldn’t have been better. A really nice queen bed with warm comforters, a gas fireplace which was great as it warmed up the room and looked amazing, a bathtub/Jacuzzi and the best view you will ever see in your life. Once I get pictures, I will post them up. As we stayed there, things were perfect as Mount Snow was a 5 minute car ride away and the bars and restaurants were the same. There was always hot water, the room was well lit, always warm and enough space to place and store your clothes or items. Cable TV was great and there were plenty of things to watch and the WiFi was better as it helped us figure out where we were eating and what we were going to do. The best feature has to be the breakfast as I on a Monday here at work, miss the cranberry orange muffins, the pancakes, eggs, bacon....you name it. There is nothing I can say I didn’t like about the place and I have already recommended my family to visit West Dover and when they do, to stay at the Inn at Mount Snow. Thank you!

My name is Vera and my family and I stayed here last week. Our room was lovely, the lodge is warm and friendly and the Inn keeper and her daughter is what will bring us back here. They were wonderful and we are so very happy to have met them. We can't wait to visit and see them again!!

Well, let's call it 3.5 stars, but it could have been 4 with a little effort. The inn is well located and comfortable, and the breakfast was adequate. However, a number of relatively minor annoyances added up. Specifically: 1. No hair dryer. I can't remember the last time I stayed somewhere that didn't have one. 2. No cups in the bathroom or glasses in the room. (They were provided upon request.) 3. Housekeeper did not clean the bathroom floor and made only half the bed! 4. To exit inn safely, one must drive around the rear over a rough, cratered roadway. 5. Manager might have been a bit more friendly and welcoming. 6. No tissues in the room. As I mentioned, these were all relatively minor, but they added up over our 2-day stay. Other B&Bs we've stayed in didn't have these distractions, so this inn merited a lower rating by comparison.
