Cooper Hill Inn is a perfect place for families or friends. The rooms are very comfortable and there is ample public space for playing cards, reading, or watching movies. The views both east and west are beyond description and there are hiking trails just up the road. Mount Snow is nearby for skiers and the lovely town of Wilmington is perfect for history buffs and shoppers. We were upgraded to suites since the inn was quiet during the week. Charles' gardens are stunning and Lee made us "to order" delicious breakfasts. She also made us laugh! Thank you so much Charles and Lee for a great stay.
We stayed four nights in March. We were there to ski Mount Snow (10 minute drive). The inn was beautiful – bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean with good water pressure and the room itself was large. The common living room had a working wood fireplace!. We had clear skies so we could see the stars (outside) at night and the sunshine against Mount Snow every morning from the dining room. Lee and Charles are hosts extraordinaire! Breakfast was excellent which was cooked to order served after a fresh fruit salad and the best muffins. We definitely recommend staying at Cooper Hill Inn and will stay again next time we come to Dover, Vermont.
Charles and Lee are absolutely wonderful hosts that maintained the perfect balance of making us feel like we were with old friends on the deck and giving us privacy at the same time. Our days started with coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise over the eastern mountains to evenings walking through the beautiful flower gardens and enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset over Mount Snow from the deck. What can be better than fresh raspberries from the garden with blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Close to everything we wanted to do - we loved the Inn and our hosts and can't wait to return.
Beautiful inn at the crest of a hill with wonderful sunrise views! The gardens on the grounds are gorgeous, and Charlie and Lee make you feel like your family. The last evening they came out and hung out with us on the back deck. It was quiet, peaceful, and so relaxing! They really make you feel at home. And the breakfast.... MMMMM <3 We'll be back. It's incredibly relaxing here!
My husband and I chose Cooper Hill off a list of inns that were participating in the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge Groupon. Just driving up to the inn, we knew we chose the right place--stunning view of the mountains from the property. Rooms were clean and comfortable (a big deal when you're dealing with a 6'5" person in a New England inn), and there are a few nice, large common rooms with plenty of activities. The owners Charles and Lee are really the main selling point. They're lovely, interesting people and were very hospitable, offering delicious breakfasts made with local ingredients and great conversation. They also made some wonderful recommendations for other restaurants in the area. Overall, we had a really fun, relaxing weekend, and we're looking forward to another stay here. Can't recommend this place enough!…
